re: The LSU Fan experience survey is in your mailbox....(Piped in music)

I support the band and have no hatred towards them. 100% Golden Band from Tigerland. HOWEVER, when I was a kid in the 80’s I brought a headset radio with me. I’d tune in the game, but really I had it turned to a radio station listening to rock music. Why? I’ve always despised band music for some weird reason. No offense, I appreciate their hard work and effort and cheer when they play the good stuff. I wished then why we didn’t get one of those loud arse speakers from “Back to the Future” and hoist it on a crane over the student section and just play “Shook Me…” ? So, I’m in the blare GNR, AC/DC, Boosie, and the rest of the gang when we are at the ridiculous tv timeouts. I think I’ve finally realized my childhood dream. The band can’t play all the time. Back in the Olden days, games were like 8:00 pm and done by 10:00. Now a 6:30 kick ends at 10:00. That’s an hour and a half of just sitting there. Ain’t nobody gonna be able to cheer that long, and the band isn’t loud at all anymore. You can’t hear them. Like at all.
Also that music isn’t in a pipe. A wire maybe but I doubt there’s a pipe unless that wire is run in conduit. So stop using that phrase. It makes you sound 80.
Downvote away I don’t give a shite. I’m a TAF member and Season Ticket holder too. #setitoff

I like it.
The REAL way to fix bowl games.
Posted by Flyingtiger82 on 12/10/25 at 8:40 am
Go ahead and expand to 16 teams and use one home game and some lowly level bowls for the playoff venue.
However like the NIT (I’m just saying that so we understand what we are talking about) have a second tournament of teams that also get a home game and some utilize some of the lesser bowls with that tournament concluding somewhere around New Years Day or so. BUT have special incentives such as:
1. “NIT” tournament winner gets 5 million additional NIL money for your school. This is approved above the CAP.
2. Each player gets $XXX on the winning team.
3. Winning team gets a play-in game for next year to the playoffs regardless of record. (That may seem unfair but it makes it worth watching and worth playing for. Even if that team horrendously sucks the following year, they’d have to play in to get a slot.)
Incentivize the football “NIT” to make it worth something.
Otherwise just do a 16 team playoff and don’t have bowls period. Use the existing bowls as playoff locations and call it a day. Having meaningless bowl games, penalizing teams that opt out, yet no penalization to players who do is ridiculous. But the fact that teams are getting fined for choosing not to play in a game that means absolutely nothing is dumb. As ridiculous as my stupid idea is, you have to admit, it makes more sense than what we have.

Not sure 25’s team ever showed up to play this year? I’d say 21’s team blows through that soft as shite O line of 25s. But not a blowout ‘21 (-3)

King Herod better be glad there wasn’t cowboys back in those days, John Dutton and Rip would’ve taken him to the train station.

Most people have voiced their opinions and I wanted to vent it all in one spot.
Alabama - damn they lose the SECCG bigly and yet rewarded for losing and get in? Come on let another school have that spot. Vandy would have been fun.
Tulane & JMU - those conferences aren’t even the same as the major conferences. To allow them in and not let Vandy or even God forbid, Notre Dame, in makes no sense. I hate ND too.
Teams opting out of bowls should be allowed so the bowls will get on board with being a playoff leg. And if a team opts out, fine offer the spot to next in line in the conference. Don’t penalize a team for saying “no thank you”
LSU in Texas Bowl is about as boring as the Western Kentucky game. While I will watch, I’m not about to go to Houston for New Years weekend. If it were a better destination then maybe. But New Year’s in Houston sounds about as exciting as Shreveport.
I agree let the old BCS computers rank 16 teams and let it rip.
TLDR : rabble rabble rabble Bama sux, JMU and Tulane don’t need to be there; Vandy should have gone; Houston sux. Already said. BCS 16 teams.

Pat McAfee is insufferable. He was barking at Kirby Smart while he was trying to answer a legitimate question. Kirby and Reece were both like “I wish this guy would shut up”

I’m as Gen X as you can get. I have 2 kids who are LSU grads and own my own business of 22 years. I’m sorry I don’t get the Oklahoma comment. Were you having a medical event? I would understand if you get confused sometimes. Again. HAVE A NICE DAY to you Sir.

Ok Boomer. I just proved my point. Boomers get testy about this fake news. Go eat your jello and watch that slow arse Billy Cannon punt return (just kidding that’s awesome). But anyway, good game, good team, Geaux Tigers.

Nobody was overly excited about Saban, but the President of LSU understood that football was how he was going to fund LSU. He decided to hire the best coach available. So we decided to give him a shot. But honestly it took him a couple of years, and we weren’t overly sure he wasn’t just another DiNardo. Then 2003 happened. Boom. LSU changed overnight.
LSU hasn’t sniffed relevancy since 2019. This feels like a home run hire. This feels more like when Bama hired Saban away from the Dolphins. We all knew Bama was going to become a juggernaut. That’s how this feels.

At no time has it ever been called Deaf. There was a gas station named that. I argue with my Dad who’s 80 about this all the time. My first game was 1978 and I remember “Welcone to Death Valley”
Also Mike Andersons is still a go to for us on Sundays after a game.
Andy Hamilton married Gov McKeithens daughter and became missionaries in China.
I don’t know about those other players anymore.
Y’all’s generation gets fighting mad over the deaf vs death.
Sorry but death sounds way cooler than deaf. Deaf doesn’t make sense. I’d rather kill (figuratively) than disable (figuratively) our opponent. They can still play if they’re deaf, but they can’t do shite if they’re dead.

I’m not too excited about keeping Frank. He’s had 1/2 a season and still out the same non-adjusted bullshite useless offense on the field with no changes. He can Geaux back and coach high school I really don’t care. Also I don’t hate him either. He did have an unenviable position and I get it though. Keep him fire him I’m staunchly indifferent.

Compare his word salad of a press conference where clearly he’s in over his head vs Lane Kiffin’s standup routine. It proves Auburn is Mid at best but they won’t sniff the playoffs with this dude, and outside of 3 years, he’ll be gone.

“ We are going to start looking at the plan and figuring out the plan and figuring out how to implement the plan.” Bunch of coaching bullshite. He’s been hired 23 hours. He doesn’t know a fricking thing about Auburn yet. He’s talking too damn much saying too damn little.

Watching this guy’s press conference, all he talks about is “the Plan” I know LSU would have never gotten this guy, but Auburn is screwed. This guy sucks.

Mr. Bob passed away about 2 years ago. We would see him out a lot and visit him and his wife. His wife Sandy is such a sweet soul. Sadly, his shop closed but he was so proud of Rob. That would be a homerun hire to bring him back!
