That’s a good question. Damon wasn’t as bad as hanks in da Vinci code but still didn’t quite fit for me. At the time I thought Chris Pratt could have pulled it off. RDJ obviously would have been a home run. Maybe Sam Rockwell.
With that said I think gosling was perfect as grace.
What do you think?
Agreed. They did as good as they could with PHM. They said the screening was almost four hours long so I’m sure they could add some depth to certain scenes.

My issue with the Martian when I first watched was how easy they made the trip to the final shuttle at the end of the movie. In the book it was a long planned, treacherous journey I figured that would be a big part in the movie. The humor was missing with Matt Damon as Watney imo but still solid
Couldn’t disagree more. There doesn’t have to be some sacrifice every time to make a movie mean more. Plus I rewatch Maverick every few months or so. Would not be the case if he died.
Ryan Reynolds wishes he could act like gosling. Dudes been in plenty of comedies. You should watch nice guys.
Agreed. After my first watch I felt they didn’t explain enough of how big the stakes were. Felt they rushed it. On second watch, I realized they did plenty of it and I felt the pressure of the situation more. There wasn’t some big explanation with over reactions like Armageddon.

I don’t see the issue. Are we really looking for an all Greek cast with subtitles? Or fake accents? Braveheart was epic but wouldn’t call it authentically Scottish. I thought if I movie had all ethnic cast it was woke. This has white men as main leads but not authentic enough? It’s Nolan. It’s going to be amazing.
Fellowship is always my favorite each rewatch. It was Viggos favorite as well due to the actors having dialogue driven scenes together. The other movies were done on green screens quite a bit.
You mean the movies that came out over 20 years ago and for the most part look better than anything put out these days. This is a bad attempt to troll. I bet you liked rise of the skywalker.
The little boy riding his bike who got capped by Todd.
I just don’t get it, as a fan how you wouldn’t be stoked about seeing your favorite characters again. Especially with how good the first episode is to hook you in. It’s nice to see them grow and age with us as a viewer.
Terminal List was solid and set me off on the books which I loved. Haven’t watched Dark Wolf yet, although I heard that Raife is in it which is bad arse.

The Keeley dumping Roy storyline after all of the build up only to turn lesbo was by far the worst thing in this show. It’s also gotten away from the 10 ep shorter episode season. They expanded to more eps and twice as long. It’s almost like the first half of season 3 was thrown in there. Doesn’t mesh well.
A good thing is always ruined by greed. It dilutes it so much.

Here’s a link to the real Sobel. His legend mainly came from the book/show. I think a good bit of Easy Company regrets talking about him the way they did reflecting on it years later. This was in a book called The Untold Stories of Band of Brothers by Marcus Brotherton. Great read for those wanting more after the story.

What’s funny is it came out 25 years ago and I recognize majority of these guys from being on Band of Brothers. I watched it when it came out so that makes a difference. This show made alot of these guys careers.

I hope Rodgers retires and we never hear from him again. I’m over it. Would like to see Howard get a shot. Unless McCarthy is the ultimate qb whisperer, Allar is a bust of a pick. Dude has the build but never lived up to potential. I will admit as an LSU homer I wanted Nuss, mainly for his locker room presence. Dude is basically a qb coach. And has a cannon. Hoping for some steals in round 4-7

Drafted a whole bunch of reaches and projects. For now no starters and all backups. Just awful. Bernard the only one who will contribute this year. So far.

I’m a Steelers fan and I’m pretty cashed out after that pick. This has been an awful draft.
