honest question for parents - at what age would you take your son (or daughter I guess) to a hooters?

My opinion, I would take a son at 12. At that point they are old enough to at least somewhat understand sex and sexuality. They are probably showing interest in girls and/or girls are showing interest in them. It's also a good way to start seeing how they handle themselves around women and interact with women. See how much help you'll have to give them down the line.

Plus I mean, it's Hooters, it's essentially PG now. We're not talking about a strip club or even a topless bar. These boys, at 12, have probably already seen far worse on the internet.

no, no, no.

This is another flailing hail-mary that will not work. We just did DEI and body-positivity Hooters the last decade. No one wants that. No one asked for that. Same with “family friendly” Hooter’s. That’s not what you built your company on.

Throw out the entire menu except chicken wings, chicken sandwiches and sides. Bring in reasonably fresh ingredients (not this fresh frozen bullshite). Cut the drink menu to American beer on tap and simple
mixed drinks. Lower your prices 30%. Instill quality control. Hire attractive friendly busty young women.

It’s that simple.
You’ll see pre-2010 numbers again.

The only time I’ve been to hooters was almost ten years ago, somewhere in DFW. My takeaway was the girls were actually very attractive but it wasn’t all that risqué. Basically felt like a normal chain restaurant with hot chicks w/ good attitudes as waitresses (and I like the Daytona wings)

I was really shocked by the level of talent. For whatever reason I was expecting a far more trashy experience

I was on a business trip to Perioa years ago with a group of fellow Caterpillar guys. The first night we went to Hooters because it was the closest place to our hotel. Our waitress was rather good looking, though a bit on the trashy side. What made this trip memorable was two things:

1. It was the first time I saw a cell phone capable of storing pictures.

2. The way I made this discovery was when our waitress pulled out her phone (I think it was a Razor) and showed us her nudes. Smart move on her part as this contributed significantly to her tip.

Very Family Friendly. I took my son there on Belle Chase Hwy and Behrman when he turned 10 yeas old with all his friends after a day of fishin Myrtle Grove.

He is still straight at 34 years old. Money well spent. Geaux Hooters!

That said, I go to Waffle House more often.

Talent at the one in Houma was mediocre last time I was in town, but the beer was ice fricking cold. Astonishing how many places can’t even get that right. Still sad when you remember 20 years ago when hooters was absolutely stacked with OT 8’s and up.

It's funny when these struggling businesses do some sort of self defeating Hail Mary to save themselves but all it does is piss off what few customers they have left.

This has been tried about 100 times the last decade and failed about 100 times.

Exactly 0 people who didn't go to Hooters before will be converted by this new strategy.

Many of their existing customers will quit going.

All hooters has to do to re-brand is cut out all of the tacky bullshite and serve some decent food at a reasonable price but high enough to keep the undesirables out.

They’ve already got the name recognition. Unfortunately, they offer nothing that anyone wants anymore.

The best hooters I ever been too was on the German/France border a little ways from Ramstein AFB. They were legit smoke shows and this was in 07. Couple of years later I stopped at one driving through Mobile, AL and they were some uggos and I haven't been back since.
