re: Help with this mortgage refinancing quote - LSU1018
It’s not a bad deal, but I would quote out a local lender in the morning. You could probably get 2.25 without any points depending on your credit and equity. Then you just have to figure out where the break even point on paying the points are. ...

re: Help with this mortgage refinancing quote - LSU1018
APR is what you should look at. You could get any local lender to match that same rate at those fees. It’s a numbers game. If you are want to pay no fees but have a little higher rate, they could do that too. I work on the title side and I would say the average fees on a refi are around 3-4k betw...

re: I just got quoted 2.65% on a 30 yr fixed mortgage - LSU1018
I heard that rate on Friday locally. Just make sure you are quoting everyone the same day bc the rates change constantly. ...

re: Current Mortgage Rates - LSU1018
Most of the lenders that post in this thread have good rates/fees. I think they have someone with Assurance, GMFS, and Hancock Whitney. I work on the title side and we have good experiences with all of them. We do not have good experiences with most online lenders. ...

re: Current Mortgage Rates - LSU1018
Quote out another lender also. Look at what the APR is. If you’re putting 20% down, then it may work out better for you to pay your own closing costs and get 2.75 interest rate which is what the going rate is. ...

re: Rocket Mortgage - LSU1018
6900 on that size loan is a lot. You could have easily saved a couple thousand by going local. And if you offer the title company an extra 1k, they will go to your house also!...

re: Rocket Mortgage - LSU1018
A lot of sellers don’t trust the online lender bc most are crap and when they don’t hit the deadline, there is nobody local to go to. It makes everyone in the transaction feel better if you’re approved by a local lender even if you end up choosing to go with the online lender. I would definite...

re: Anyone know a good HOA attorney in Slidell/Northshore area? - LSU1018
A good attorney could win the case if everything said is factual. The problem is that you likely couldn’t pay enough for a real estate attorney to take the case when this is the busiest they have been since Katrina. ...

re: Recommended Residential Contractors - LSU1018
I just finished up a job with Skilled Contractors and was extremely pleased. I added on a game room and renovated some of the other parts of my house. The main thing that I was most satisfied about is that everytime I would call/text, I would get a quick answer. They also showed up and worked un...
