I’m surprised it was the middle of the night.
frickers like this robbed my house in BR in broad daylight. When the cops caught them in the act, they told me that these guys were suspected in numerous robberies in areas like Southdowns where it was middle class and people would be working during the day.

Is trespassing on someone’s property with a firearm not a crime? Most likely that firearm isn’t legally registered either.
