Still can't believe that glorious orange bastard bobbed and weaved out of that one. Or God simply turned his head slightly. Polk, Hardee, and Johnston were reconning a position when they came under Union artillery fire - directed by Sherman.
The previous two rounds that missed the group proved they had the range.
Hardee and Johnston had the good sense to haul arse.
Polk stood on dignity and insisted on walking. He knew the Union cannoneers had the distance.
