"Hello Boss"...Yall seen these pre-fab homes from China?

My Instagram feed has been inundated with the goofy "hello boss" videos of these pre-fab pods but I have to say they look pretty sleek and are priced under 30K. Who knows if they pass US building codes and how much the tariffs etc would be on them but I expect to see these at some new airbnb rental park soon.

I have a friend that says he is building a place along the SC waterfront that will be using these type of buildings.

Canada will be the first country to implement these and try to put a positive spin on them.

I’ve seen them in videos for a couple of years. I’m not knocking the idea at all…they look insanely cool and would be great to setup as a cabin or even as a houseboat style.
Not sure how much I’d trust the Temu version of a shed long-ish term, but it can’t be much worse than the 2x4 toothpick bullshite DSLD cranks out.

People will love the idea of this but hate the practicality if they're actually living in it. A cabin or something of that nature is fine for this size, but living in this? Even if it has everything you need, I know from experience that living in a 100 square foot space is fricking miserable.

I don't trust them not to off-gas something that will give me popcorn lung, but the concept itself looks pretty sleek. I'm obviously not living in one, but I think something like that would be amazing for disaster relief to replace "FEMA trailers".

Seems like a possible solution for our homeless problem. But the problem with homeless people isn’t that they’re “unhoused.” That’s just a symptom of the real problem: drug addiction, mental illness, and/or just uselessly lazy.
Which means they’d get one of these places for free and frick it up and not take care of it. Then they’d be homeless again.

For a millenial, this will be their only chance at ever owning a home. It’s hard for the boomer mind to wrap around not living in a mcmansion

$100k I'd much rather have a container house. They are, by build, vermin proof. They are much more robust.
