re: ESPN and CFP Extending Playoff Expansion Deadline

I haven't closely followed CFB now for several years and likely never will again. That said, I have been a fan of 16 this century.
There were 10 conferences (no idea how many currently). Each champ gets auto birth. Remaining 6 spots go to highest rated teams outside of Champs.
That makes regular season matter for EVERY conference. It would actually make CFB fans keep an eye on many more teams. It also leaves 6 spots for other top teams to make it in, so u don't lose hope after losing just one conference game (which may have been a road game with poor refereeing)
Seed all 16 after they are determined. So #1 plays the worst team, even if they won their conference.

re: Prime Ali vs. Prime Mike Tyson

His win vs Foreman was impressive, but likely because of his age (my opinion). He was wise enough to win that fight, not physically dominant enough. I think if they had a rematch, it would have ended differently, but that is irrelevant.
Tyson not only went to prison, but probably more importantly, he lost Cus, which served as his brain. Tyson was a unique physical specimen, but he lacked the mental capacity/discipline to hang with other champions without Cus.
I personally view Tyson as the biggest disappointment. He MAY have had to ability to be the best, but he never realized his full potential.

I would argue we never even saw prime Iron Mike. He parted with his real coaches and went to jail for what, 6 yrs?
Tyson was shorter than almost all "elite" HW fighters, but he was also more dynamic than arguably all HW fighters. He had power like Foreman, but was much faster. The question is could prime Mike last 12 rounds and win? We didnt really see the best version of Tyson really have to fight that long. The washed version certainly wasn't mentally capable of doing it.

"your proceeds are better used to pay down on your house note"
How do you justify this mathematically? Most are willing to assume +8% return from mutual funds. Mortgage is unlikely to be near 8% and isn't the interest for personal home also tax deductible, as well?

I pulled Hurt BND. Also have pulled 3 other LTD QBs BND. I love the luck but wish it was more varied position wise. Lol.

I agree, Bad. While I do play a lot of pvp in CUT, I am no money spent and have pulled probably 10 LTD cards already. Easy to keep a competitive team.

What are the rules? How often are advances? How competitive?

We drafted 2 guys that do not excel from deep and can't switch on D.
Queen is not tall for a C, was the least athletic player at the combine, and seems like a terrible fit to pair with Zion.
While the Pels and Bucks may be avg or better than average teams, the odds are better that at least one will end up with a top 10 pick IMO...which we gave away to grab a guy that likely doesn't fit in the modern NBA.
Willie and Joe have track records. That history, paired with the Pels at large, says they do not deserve the benefit of the doubt.
All fans HOPE the moves turn out to be magical. Rational fans EXPECT this to be yet another blunder that we look back upon in disgust.

re: CFB26 (Beta) anybody get a code?

Oh, but I can. I have zero cares about cosmetics outside of gameplay...it just doesn't add much value to me. If it impacts actual gameplay, it detracts from my experience, rather than adds enjoyment. I currently avoid stadiums like Miami's home stadium, as the shadows just suck the fun out of it for me.

Honestly, I often times hate dynamic lighting. I don't want shadows or glare from sun.

From a Biblical perspective, what is the purpose of confirmation and where is it explained in the Bible?

Most "busted" coverages will likely come from match coverages. If you shade the coverage (in this case over-the-top to prevent bombs), it will take you out of match.
Each coverage can be beat with the right setup. The safest would be man cover 3 deep, but that has other limitations.

No longer a resident of Louisiana and didn't vote for St G. But I likely would have if there. But I still recognize that my rental property there would likely be a better investment if St G remained as a tax base for BR. My request is strictly selfish in nature. :)

I would assume most of it was reassessment...but that is completely subjective to what they are told to do. A tax increase that isn't voted upon.
Baton Rouge property tax increase
Posted by Milesahead on 3/27/25 at 6:00 am
This has likely already been discussed, but my property taxes went up 42% in the last year. Paired with another 33% increase for insurance, Baton Rouge is becoming less and less attractive.

We lost our user for UF in our dynasty. Super fast team with possible playoff berth on the table. Let me know if you are ready to take over.

re: Will there ever be a college basketball game?

I dont think this is true. The college basketball game is what killed all college sports games, when the Obannon brothers from UCLA sued.

Need to tone down Home Field Advantage. It should NEVER impact passing icons. HFA impacting hot routes and audibles makes some sense but there is no reasonable parallel to justify not knowing how to pass the ball to a particular player.
The coaching traits and mental traits addressing HFA need to be functional, as right now, they do absolutely nothing.
Make playbooks selectable for RTP
Allow dynasty teams to be used in friendly pvp matches
Add historic players to the recruiting. Having 10 or so college legends each year would be a cool feature.
Tone down or abandon W&T. Carrying the ball 5 times and being crippled is not only dumb, it isn't enjoyable.
Make the player receiving option pitches respond more quickly. The current delay, paired with poor option pitches, makes them not really worth using.
Allow details to be provided on online dynasties, so players know what type of dynasty they are joining in advance.
Edit to add: add feature where QB can drop passing windows and move more dynamically behind the LOS.
