If it’s cheaper to build this in China and ship it halfway around the planet and truck it across a continent than it is to just build here, then we’ve already lost.

I think an Airstream w/o wheels would be better. Those last forever and they maintain a pretty high resale value.

Anything that will be cheaper to purchase in the US is gonna be regulated.

If it won’t generate enough tax money, it needs more regulations

RV not comparable at that price point which is why I mentioned Travel Trailer. And of course those China huts aren’t meant to be mobile hence my suggestion that a travel trailer would give you more bang for the buck because it is.
