Yep... my former neighbor got into it with Aaron Brooks in the FQ... older guys from my hometown had a fight with UGK... saw Martey Booker punch a guy ... witnessed Benoit Benjamin almost get killed

Zach Mettenburger threw a couple punches at me at Schlitz and Giggles one night. Thank god he was way more fricked up than me. Logan Stokes drug him home with the quickness

Got into a verbal altercation with Cedric Figaro at a nightclub in Lafayette in the late 80s. I had returned from the restroom and started talking to my friend, a girl, who had ridden to the club with me. Cedric advised me to never walk up and interrupt him when he was talking to a girl. I didn’t know who he was, only that he was huge and I didn’t like my odds in a fair fight. He threatened to hit me, and right before I was going to hit him across the head with a beer bottle a mutual friend grabbed him and walked him away. Glad it got stopped because I probably would have gotten destroyed by him and arrested as well.

A guy I know claimed to have whipped Barry Sanders’ arse when they were both at Okie State. He was a couple of inches taller than Barry, and built similarly, and he was a tough guy, but obviously not the athlete Sanders was. The only reason I was inclined to beliieve him is that he had no history of outrageous bragging. So maybe?
Near miss: My son was a “bouncer” at Reggie’s (5’-10” 165 #s). I always tell him how lucky Jeremy Hill was that my son was off duty when Hill got into that dust up in Reggie’s parking lot.
