It was so your parents wouldn't find them in your room man. We hid them in the pasture behind our neighborhood in a fishing tackle box.

It was because a wife told her man to get rid of them or else. Man was too embarrassed to put them in the trash is all I can figure.

The crew bunk on C-130s used to have a stash under the mattress, usually.

We had them stashed all over the neighborhood. A treehouse, the rafters of an old shed, behind pictures on the wall in another shed we used for gaming and hanging out.

I grew up in Woodlake Estates in Kenner (brah).
Between the levee and the lake, there was a line of trees that was filled broken up concrete. People - bored teens, hobos - would build elaborate structures with these blocks.
As a kid we would go exploring. For whatever reason, there were a ton of nudie magazines stashed around these woods and structures. Which was awesome back then. Now that I think about it, it was pretty creepy.

I had a nav that thought it was funny to put transformer pics and mags under there.
I rode a garbage truck on P'cola beach, summer of '86ish. The driver knew every address that had nudie mags in the trash and he had a stack of hundreds in the cab.

Posted this before, but 10-11 year old me found a lawn bag filled with two years of playboy and penthouse magazines. It was on a wooded lot that had not been built on. Threw the bag over my shoulder and pedaled back home.
However, it wasn’t my first find. We moved when I was 7 years old. My bedroom had a High Society, Oui, and Hustler magazine stashed/left on the top shelf of my bedroom closet.

one trip when I was a new hire FE, while pre-flighting the bird on the first leg of a three day I did my usual porn resupply check and filled all of the usual places with real pics I had taken with various women (removed any identifying parts of me,) and when the CA and FO started checking the porn at cruise and they realized that they were real photos I became an instant celebrity, Captain even let me fill out my probationary report

The strangest place I ever found one was in the hands of the postman who was parked in a shaded spot amongst the trees of the neighborhood park that was behind the cross street neighbors.
I was walking to a friend’s house a couple streets away by cutting through the park and had to walk alongside the old Jeep around noon one day. As I approached I said hello and as I passed saw he was perusing someone’s Hustler magazine before delivering it.

no dirty magazine but walking back to the truck from a bow hunt last weekend I fount an old rusty putt putt putter in a food plot. The kind with the rubber head. Has me very confused because we planted a few weeks prior so multiple tractors drove/pulled over that area yet it wasn't dented up/scratched or anything like it was left after we planted.
