Close enough.

They'll probably send you a massive bill for being "uninsured".

I honestly think I’d just ignore them.

Seriously, what are they gonna do, come find you? They think you still live there.
could get a failure to appear warrant/bench warrant. get stopped for speeding someday passing through Louisiana, get arrested, yada yada. best to at least call and take care of it to save the trouble.

I lived in Philadelphia for just a year and a half back in 2018-19, but have been re- registered as a voter in my current state since late 2019.

I still get notices and texts about PA elections nearly 7 years later. And being a major swing state, it can be relentless during election season.

Too bad there’s not some sort of national clearinghouse for which state you’re registered in.

If you are in the Louisiana Purchase, you’d still be required to show up

Get a doctor's excuse that you're not fit for jury duty ever and send it back with the Louisiana summons... something like you can't sit for 8+ hours at a time.

Or just call the clerk of court phone # on the summons and tell them that you haven't lived in LA in 11 years and the address is your parents.

Either would work.

Medical excuse is on paper.

Phone call is not

You should find out if you voted in Pennsylvania. Especially in 2020.

Might be a good idea if someone who hasn't voted for a full cycle (four years so that will all offices) is dropped or inactivated.

Do you think this is a Louisiana only problem?

Maybe not only Louisiana but it’s definitely not common among the 49 other states.

Why do some of yall use this as your defense when Louisiana flaws are mentioned? “Hey it’s like this everywhere” yeah right it’s not.

Have you notified them that you no longer live in the state.

Could it be that 2 stupids have collided here?

Do your duty. Be there or tell them why you aren't.

Probably 1 or more bench warrants out by now so you must call a judge.

Flaws galore.

It's the price we have to pay so as not to have to deal with a bunch of liberals.

Heaven on earth with heat from hell.

No wonder the state is ranked 50/50. Too stupid to look up and see that I haven't had a Louisiana drivers license in a decade and have been registered to vote in 2 other states since.

It’d be interesting to check the records and see how many times you voted since you left.

Look in voter roles. They’re casting a vote in your name…
