Really no. 2 people I know have cancer, I took a 10% pay cut because of a virus that kills .004% of each million people who get it in the USA, insurance rates went up.

I guess the only good thing is that I haven't offed myself due to mental illness. I call it neutral, some would probably call it "good"

January and the first part of Feb were pretty good. LSU won the natty. My kids had nice birthday parties.

Mardi Gras this year blew chunks, which should have been a sign.

Since then, my kids have missed out on so many things, my social life has been wrecked, can't do the things I want to do, had a couple of nice work trips cancelled, and my wife used her time at home to decide she didn't want to be married anymore.

So yeah, I'm done with 2020.

Financially, it’s been a boon. Psychologically, it’s been a bust.

I've had a lot of good things happen and constantly remind myself of how lucky I am compared to many others.

On the other hand, fear of losing my job and all of the other stuff ongoing has led to more anxiety than ever - along with not getting to see many friends/family. Thus, 2020 so far is probably the worst year of my life (I guess that's both a good thing and bad thing depending on perspective).

You know what I’ve done twice since this pandemic? I’ve joined random car parades at the end and just waved at people in the driveway like an a-hole.

I did one yesterday for some kids birthday. Hope Jimmy had a good birthday. Just an a-hole waving through the neighborhood

not that bad but i'm definitely getting on my wife's last nerves. agree w/ fallguy. try to ride this out and maybe once you and she get into more normal routines again things will get better.

"Familiarity breeds contempt"

and I had to put my precious 12yo golden/shepard mix down the day after superbowl sunday and it was an an all-day ordeal which ended with me digging a grave at 9pm deep enough to put him in. it was honestly one of the worst days of my life (and this from someone who went through one of the worst divorces ever) and facetime calls with my college age kids so they could tell him goodbye broke me.

frick 2020

nothing good has come out of this year for me.

I have not been to the office in 4 months and may not ever have to go back.

Stay scared my friends.

I got a big promotion right before the virus and reached a salary I honestly thought I’d have to work 20 years to reach just based on what my college major was. I have a job that thoroughly makes me happy to do.

I met a new girl that has become a friend on a level you usually only get with childhood friends. I’ve also become closer with other friends.

I redid my outdoor patio and can’t stay away from it. So relaxing.

Because I work remotely (nothing to do with virus), I get to spend time with my SO even with his non traditional schedule. We make 9 years together in a couple months which is the longest I’ve ever been with someone.

I’ve prioritized saving money and have grown a savings I’m proud of.

My dog that almost died of an autoimmune disease is totally back to her old self and doing great.
