Bryan Norcross on TWC is doing a great job of explaining the possibility.

Summary?

Everything I've seen from TWC just regurgitates the same bs over and over again... no new stuff

He was showing an animation of the HRRR that is predicting a huge band of heavy rain to dump on most of the HOU metro overnight, especially the western half. He is a good communicator and has a way of saying things in a way that makes you believe he is serious.

If you are going to try to argue about good and bad and what is and isn't part of God's "plan", you should at least read the Bible and try to understand it.

Again, this is the wrong thread to discuss this. People are being flooded out and losing everything, and people in this thread are going on about what is and isn't God's "plan". Ridiculous.

TxWadingFool, sorry to read about your situation. At least ya'll are safe. It always sounds terrible in these times, but property can be rebuilt--lives can't.

I'm just south of New Caney, probably got 5" of rain and no wind to speak of. It sounds like tonight may be when a lot of rain may move in.

Everyone in the Houston metro should pay close attention to local officials and the NWS Houston. There is a very strong signal in the current modeling that parts of the Houston metro area could see an additional 15-20" of rain tonight.

Listen to this guy. He's proven many times here (stretching back to at least the Baton Rouge floods last year when he got onto my radar about weather stuff) that he's not just a blowhard regurgitating everything dire he reads somewhere else. If he says you need to be paying attention, you need to be paying attention.

Thing is def sliding E or ENE. Watch the radar from 3-5pm.. Circulation def moves towards Cuero and slightly north over that two hours.

Guys and gals, does anyone have any connections to gather donations to bring to the CC/STX area? If so, I am in BR, and may have some clothes and stuff. TxWadingFool, prayers sent. Dealt with the flood last year, and had to rely on strangers to get us through it. Let us know what you need.

Cantore may as well head back to the studio for analysis. He is no longer "boots on ground material", Jeff absolutely demolished Jim.

Jim always has his safety in mind, jeff is all about capturing the storm.

They are asking everybody to stay out still. I know you are Jonesing to get back in. You have to wait it out. A good steak, cigar, and a glass of fire water may be what you need now.

I am sorry your house got hit but am glad you grabbed a few loads and got out.

Congrats on you, and yours, being safe.

I was going to start a thread and try to organize some sort of supply/essentials collection when things started to calm down. Guess we can start now so it's ready to go when can actually make it to the area.

I'm not an atheist.

I just don't get the logic behind doing it if you accept that God allows what he wants to happen anyway.

Not knocking your particular set of beliefs.

I just personally believe an infinite creator doesn't care to intervene with his creation. In the same sense as we shouldn't interfere with the past if we had a time machine.

Should have Jeff fill him in on what happened and have Jeff take it from there. No need for Jim to continue.
