Can't say this enough. The GFS has been extremely poor at cyclones the past couple of years. Don't put too much stock on what any model says but especially these GFS runs.

I didn't think I'd ever see the NHC make those type of rainfall predictions

It's the worse scenario when consider 9/10 people die do to flooding during a hurricane

I've followed threads here as well as discussions on Gulfcoastwx for the last several hurricane seasons watching storms play out. I can't say I've seen something like this where we get this close to landfall and we still don't have a model consensus as to what's going to happen in the next 3-4 days. Have you seen this kind of uncertainty in a storm at such a late point or is this a bit of a unique setup with the steering currents not dictating much movement on Harvey?

So I'm pretty much convinced to go to my sister's place in Dallas this weekend but my mom isn't and I really don't want to leave her alone in this storm. Is this something I should continue to try to convince her on? Shpuld I just say frick it and stay with her?

I'd bounce if I were you and make your mom go with you.
Granted I don't know where you are exactly.

Is this still considered 610? Houston has so many loops I'm not really sure anymore.

As long as you aren't along the bayous on memorial or on 59, I think you'd be fine...
Gonna be hell trying to get back next wed when it pulls out.
