Forgot to add...most times the bartenders are happy to have someone to talk to, and they make money off it. Win/win for all.

I dont want to meet another woman, anywhere. If this one ever goes to shite, I am living by myself till I go to the home.

When I had Wednesday and Thursday off I would go in the afternoon after work on Tuesday when most people were working. After my work week I just wanted a few beers and a burger and really not to be bothered. If it would be a Friday or Saturday night it may be weird ,but than again sometimes people just want a little time out of the house and have a drink or two.

I've sat at a bar alone before. Only time was when out of town for business and I didn't know anyone in the area though. I've made friends doing that because instead of focusing only on the people I know it
motivates me to talk to others.

I love to eat alone. People think it's weird but I enjoy the "me time" to think. Kind of like when you enjoy the quietness of taking a shite

There was a time that I just wanted some "me" time in a neutral territory to have a couple of drinks and clear my mind, or perhaps just to think some tings over. Nothing wrong with it.

more fun (to me) than drinking alone by yourself at home

Absolutely. At least you have entertainment and usually good looking women walking around to look at

Drinking alone at home is way more depressing then drinking at a bar alone IMO

The other day I got invited to a party,
But I stayed home instead
Just me and my pal Johnny Walker,
And his brothers Black and Red
And we drank alone, yeah,
With nobody else
Yeah, you know when I drink alone,
I prefer to be by myself

I enjoy drinking alone at home as well, but this thread has kind of made me want to walk down the street and belly up for the rest of the afternoon.

Growing up I was the guy who always wanted to be around friends, girls, and wherever the scene was for the night. Now married with kids, I definitely enjoy the occasional beer in silence watching whatever game is on tv. I only do this when I get off work early or wife and kid are with the in-laws, as I would never let it take away from my time with my family. Very true words in, "the days are long but the years are short". My son can be a handful most times and after a long day I would love to come home and relax. But one day I am going to look back and wish he was still wanting me to play with him 24-7.
