Worked out for a friend for over 20 years until his 2nd wife began losing over $100k annually on video poker.

I'm friends with a couple who have been together for 18 years. Both were married to someone else when they met and cheated on their spouse with the current partner. Neither has kids and never will. They are one of the happiest couples I know.
Having said that I think it's an exception.

A friend's wife left him for their son's hockey coach about and they are still married. Friend ended up marrying Valerie Bertinelli (Eddie Van Halen's ex-wife) about 10 years ago, although they recently separated.

I’m happily married after my divorce, but she was never the “other woman.” I decided I was going to leave my first wife and then about seven months later I met my current wife.

Marriage is like Gorilla Glue...it's sticks fine until you want to separate.... then it's a MF to get rid of. You have to scrape a long time to get rid of all of it.

Yes
I’m the byproduct of this and the rents are closing in on 50 years of marriage.

I literally caught my dad in bed with another woman when I was in 9th grade. He ended up marrying her. After a few years, I tried having a relationship with him but it was never the same. Last I spoke to him was a couple days after Katrina. He died this fall and was still married to her. So I guess it worked out for him. Actions have consequences.

Didn’t for my ex. Proud to say he had 7 years of torturous hell after marrying the evil b!tch. I think he is on wife number 5 now. Any woman would be a fool to marry this man if fidelity is an expectation.

However, that comment wasn’t snide. Just because you don’t want to hear it doesn’t make it any less true.
I am a Christian and seldom question clear teachings of the Bible. But i do wonder if every marriage is blessed and sacred. I mean i've lived long enough to see all the f upped reasons people get married with little or no real introspection and under selfish and inglorious reasons. are those marriages sacred where even the participants at the time don't believe that?

If the guy is “moving up” in class, I think it can. The problem is, most guys cheat on their wives with absolute dog shite tramps. The girl comes out great in those cases.

I'm not saying it's right- he k I've been happily married in my first marriage for over 30 years. But. I've seen 2nd and even 3rd marriages last. Usually people who got married too young or made a really bad match the first time.

One of the biggest fights I ever had in a relationship was when an ex told me that her sister was dating and marrying a "seperated", married man. I was driving on I-15 in SLC and I remember laughing and saying something to the effect of, "Well, she'll be separated from him in probably 5-6 years too." We didn't talk for a week.
Lo and behold ... to be fair it was 7 years and not 5.
