Guy leaving his wife for the other woman... does it ever work out?

Put aside the shite show associated with what it does to the guy's family. I'm talking about the relationship he is pursuing with the homewrecking tart.
Do these work out? I would think the failure rate is pretty high. Any of you guys end up happily married to your paramour?

Why would a guy want it to work out?
If you're already married, work on the marriage. If you want to get your dick wet, don't go looking for someone else to marry. Especially if you sucked so bad at cultivating the first one.

That’s generally how it goes. The grass isn’t greener, it just seems that way when someone else is dealing with the upkeep.
Can it work out? Possibly, but part of the allure is the forbidden nature of it. Sneaking around, the chance of getting caught, it’s a thrill ride. You take that away that and replace it with the monotony and humdrum of every day, and the shine falls off quick.
If they’ll cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you.

No kids involved but me and my wife have been married 17 years and dated for two. Started as legit friends and nature just took over. Left my wife at the time and 20 years later and 2 kids couldn’t be happier.
