I know someone who tried to pull that off...

Know a guy who left his wife to be with a high school ex who was supposed to leave her husband. After he pulled the trigger she got cold feet and stayed with the husband, so he’s left out in the cold. He ended up finding a new chick and they seem happy enough for swingers who look like you know most swingers look.

My Dad left my Mom for my stepmother. They have been married for 48 years. She's crazy, and mean as heck. I think he's scared to leave.

From what I have seen the times when it does work out like this. The wife was the one that ruined the marriage, of course it never looks like it at time because the wife plays the jilted wife card. But over time ppl figure out the wife was coo coo for coco puffs.

This is basically Tom Hanks' whole marital history. He and Rita Wilson were cheating on their spouses.
Edit: Add Bruce Springsteen and Patty Scialfa, and Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw. Same thing. All were cheating on their respective spouses, all married, all still together.

While it hurts at first, usually the partner that gets left ends up better off for it in the long run.
Their cheating partner is just the one they ended up with. If it wasn’t them it would be someone else. They’ll paint this horrible picture (which is rarely the whole truth) to justify it.
But in the end, it’s the jilted partner that’s free of a cheating spouse and gets a chance at freedom and happiness again

Depends. If she's looking for an upgrade in status (see: Hypergamy) and you're at the top of your respective tree, you basically win the game.
