What are some of the nicer places to stay in gulf shores for a fair price? I looked at Turquoise, but the prices are crazy.

Don't stay at caribe. Way too crowded and kids running everywhere. Plus it's not on the beach side and a pain in the arse to get there. So nice to walk right out the condo and onto the beach

Used to stay at Boardwalk a lot. It was nice enough for the money at the time. Also nice having Sea-n-Suds right there.

Rent a bay side house near Forth Morgan. The beaches down that way are nicer.

Phoenix 10 & 11. Flora Bama right next door. Covered parking is nice. Geographically good location right between P'cola and GS. Nice, well kept condo's. Family have stayed in this area for years.

Nicer places are not going to be at a fair price until September

Try a smaller complex. They all have pools.

It's MUCH better than finding your place on the beach among 1000 beach chairs.

What is that site? Vrbo or something? Owner rentals.

Fort Morgan.

The beaches are nicer ( you won't cut your feet up as much) and the sand is less like Biloxi.

Exactly what my brothers and sister did last week. I couldn't go due to work issues, but they had a blast and didn't have to deal with the trash you find in the crowded areas.

Keep driving and go to Okaloose Island ... only about 10 minutes from Destin and not NEARLY as populated/crowded as Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. We gave up going there years ago.

Nah. Just got back from Turquoise. Rooms are nice, but not a big enough difference to justify the price. Beach is too far compared to many. Lazy river was a disappointment. I've stayed at at least 10 different ones there. I guess that Phoenix West would have to be my favorite.

Martinique on the Gulf

Check out this place, a few miles east of Ft Morgan. Beach is ALL YOURS. Best place we've stayed in in Alabama. Turquoise and Phoenix condos are nice but beach is WAY TOO CROWDED. You won't be sorry.
