$12,800 in 1988. When I retired in 2024, I was making $125,000. Now I get $75,000 annually for life from pension.

1992 - a little more than $40k, which was fine, but with a little bundle of joy on the way, pretty tight. The SO was making about $30k, so we were fairly comfy.

$4700 in 1967. Rent was $45.00 a month for 2 bedroom house. Football ticket was $6.00 to $7.00s, gas was $0.33 a gallon and a T bone steak was $.89 a pound.
