My wife has a Cadillac Vistiq which is an EV SUV. I have to say, that thing is blazing fast and fun to drive. I still prefer my truck but I could get used to driving something faster and more nimble.

Yes they have.
An old man told me you could hang a picture of an 8v92 on the wall and youd have a half gallon of oil on the floor the next day.
They aint the same price no more either. Diesel engines are more complicated than rocket engines these days.

I worked offshore in the 80s.
Oil was a constant.

Speaking of Raptors. 2 years ago we got our son a vehicle and we were walking on the lot. A Raptor had 139800 on the windshield. I thought to myself must be a stock number or some kind of ID number for the dealership. I asked the salesman walking with us “how much does a Raptor run these days?”
The guy said “it is on the windshield”. My response was “but that says $139,800!” “Yup” was his response. I laughed and said we can definitely keep walking.

I’m getting there. Will be needing a new one soon and am really struggling to do it. Mine has been paid off for years and next one I will keep until it or I fall apart. Don’t care all of the tech and nothing seems as reliable as it once was, including Honda and Toyota.

How long until these companies (and this market) realizes how dumb car prices currently are and everything has to re-calibrate?
I’m rolling in my 2019 GM product until the wheels fall off. There is only so much fancy unnecessary shite you can add to vehicles before it just becomes dumb and unattainable.

Thats not a regular Raptor which is usually $80k-90k. That’s the Raptor R that stickers for $115k and dealers add another $20-30k markup. I made an offer of $121k on one last summer and was declined. F that.

Forever. It isnt likely to happen. They would sell the excess inventory overseas before they allowed prices in the US to come down much. The margins on a vehicle sold in the US are insane.

Some of you engine genius might can clarify. I just read that GM did 1.5 million mile failure test on the new engines. 3x the normal, all because of the beating they have taken with the 6.2.
