Not necessarily pre covid. Tundras 2021 thru 2015 or something like that is the sweet spot. 2022 and after is when the frickups start showing up.

Not sure. Have a 2013, 250k miles and have had zero issues. About to put a 4th set of tires on it. Would never buy a new truck. Sucker bet.

And they removed the dipstick from these new “reliable” v8s. Probably did it so you cant see the metal shavings in the oil!

Nobody even wants all the goddamn screens and electronics. We do want the 6.6L V8, but not if it has cylinder deactivation. Thats a deal breaker for me.

My IRS 179 deduction is fixin to eat! Thank the IRS for these prices because the higher the price for a truck over 6000 gross weight the bigger tax deduction you can take each year IF you own your own business.

Toyotas are awesome and all, but my 2015 Colorado has 278k miles and has only had one repair (AC compressor clutch) in 11+years. Maintained Chevys with that V6 can last. I was recently in the market, but I may shoot for bout 350k miles just to see how the market shakes out in a few years.

As God and BabyTac as my witnesses, I’ll never buy another brand new car ever again, except a Tesla when they have fully autonomous self driving. I’d rather drive a 1985 Oldsmobile Royal Brougham from the hood before I pay the amount of money they want for a new car/truck.

As i was driving home today, my damper actuator started acting stupid. Ice cold air out of the defrost vents for a few minutes fogging everythinf up, then hot air in my face. I had to turn the damn thing off and drive home with the windows down like I was in high school again. Cussing the whole time. I was perfectly fine with manually actuated HVAC dampers and 3 speed blowers. Manual seats are fine. Manual transmissions are fine. I dont need all this rediculous shite. I need the fricking thing to work. Id pay extra for less electronic bullshite.

My dad’s cousin did hot shot for over 20 years. He only had 2500 Chevy with the big block gas engines. He swore by them. He would put over 500K on them before getting rid of them.

You can have all this. Search out used vintage vehicles. Stupid easy to fix and most parts are inexpensive.

I cant drive a 30+ year old vehicle for work. I drive over 40k miles a year some years, tow heavy shite through the mountains, etc. It doesnt work for me
