I only read this thread to see if the kid chimed in.

He’s lucky he didn’t kill or hurt any innocent bystanders. That’s why we have a justice system, this isn’t sub-Saharan Africa or the Middle East.

Is there video of the incident out there somewhere?

He’s certainly no villain. That’s for sure. Not sure he’s as much a hero as he is a regular guy doing what every other regular guy would want to do to someone who messed with his little boy like that. In that sense, it’s really difficult for me to want to send the guy to jail over it.

Hero, no questions about it

If only that justice system was a just as it espouses itself as being. All I can say is if someone did that to my little boy, I’d not give two shits about anything but doing something quite similar, and you know what? If that was the kind of justice that awaited every one of those pdeophiles, a real cause and effect, I bet they’d reconsider their life as a result.

Not a murderer, just an enforcer and demonstrator of his love for his child! All pedos should be executed immediately when determined guilty without a doubt.

His son, the boy who was kidnapped, posts here FYI.

pedos run in packs. very possible Gary prevented police from rolling up some other pedos - and those guys ran loose for 30 years. way to go gary.
Do you have any facts to back any of this up?
You may be thinking of internet kiddie porn today where they can catch quite a few that have passed porn around. This was the early 80s.

Look, if you'd spend a little time down at our own courthouse, you'd realize the justice system is failing its citizens, becoming handcuffed by laws protecting the criminal more than the victims. What Plauche did was obviously wrong but like the last election, a groundswell of previously silent, hard-working, tax-paying, and law-abiding Americans have had enough politics failing to uphold the principles insuring the stability and security of their lives...the beginning of a traditionally patient but strongest willed, united core of this nation about to rise up and blow. I think many of us who may not go this far can still relate to what this man may have felt.

Hero. Most people on here would say they would do what he did, but the reality is very few would have the balls to do it. God bless Mr. Plauche.

Yeah, and we'd regularly have idiot rednecks shooting innocent people down too.
Yeah, because the murder rate in the rural South is already at crisis levels.

For those saying hero:
His son posts here
I beleive in an earlier thread he said he wishes his father did not do it and it only made it harder on him actually

He had to have inside info on when the plane arrived.

No, we have a justice system for a couple of different but also very important reasons:
1) To give the accused a fair trial. Not that trials are always just, but at least they lessen the chance that someone's emotions lead to a wrongful accusation.
2) To give some semblance of a penalty that fits the crime. We don't sentence someone to die for shoplifting, this is why shooting a shoplifter can get you in trouble.
