Even before the closure a large portion of society cannot comprehend the concept of a passing lane.
I've long been a proponent of every four lane highway/interstate being provided an adjacent tree line with low hanging swinging vines for their travel.

First wife, not much... I was traveling for work and misbehaving....badly...
Second wife, every single day at least once. She was insatiable... and I swear on my life, she started every workout by topping it off for 30 minutes minimum, sometimes she'd bob that head for an hour straight...she must have had the neck and jaw muscles of a woodpecker...incredible... until I started traveling again...
Third wife, every day first 2-3 years, once a week the next 5 or so, then 1-2 times a month until the crazy overtook and consumed any reasonable behavior which made life together unacceptable...

Right off hand I can think of over a dozen other actors with much better list of works than the OP list. Not even mentioned are the two that have appeared in by far the most blockbusters movies, Samuel L Jackson and Anthony Hopkins.
Maybe 10 years ago I'd thought Cruise, Pitt, Damon, and DiCaprio would have become more prolific but I'd have to say even Tom Hardy has taken over with the most great films I'd watch over and over in the past decade. Guys still on the way up, Jeremy Renner, Vinnie Jones, James Franco, even older like Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, Colin Farrel, James McAvoy are starting to take over and have as many if not more than the OP actor choices. Plus at least dozen more actors in the bigger picture of the more modern movies.. I like the actors in the OP but way too many with better lists of films.

Of course, and unless it was completely forgettable for her, and a guy has no success, nothing to offer, and nothing going for him, this is where and when problems occur and things get ugly.... It's the age-old dilemma since beginning of civilization and why there are wars. Someone finds something worth having, they don't give it up easily. It's human nature, natural selection. When we grow up, begin to succeed and have nice things it'd be nice to think we could "pull one" and then keep "pulling many more", but women who know they have something worth having don't care to be played. Why do think so may mega-rich actors and athletes will at least try to settle down when they can "pull many more"?
A woman or man will usually want to come back if it's worth it. Play games, choose unwisely, or choose narcissistic chicks like this, and unless you have nothing to lose, eventually you end up punched in the face like this dude, or with your house trashed, a hammer coming at you, or your clothes destroyed. Or, if you can "pull many more" and they aren't coming back... you're just forgettable....that's all.

A lot of truth there. I have known innocent men to get tangled up with these crazy women and go to jail. Complete bull shite. Manipulative POS women.
Well, meet another. I'm not saying men don't abuse women, there's nothing more cowardly than a man who will put his hands on a woman with malice. But police will not listen to a word a man says, even in your own home, when a scenario has gone down like my post on the previous page and they arrive to see and hear "the act". You are as innocent as Mother Teresa but you are still in cuffs and on the way to jail... then long, drawn out court litigation where the deck is stacked equally as high against a man in these situations.

ANYWHERE... because the police WILL choke hold your INNOCENT-arse and haul you straight to jail the instant they get there...and she drops the box cutter, transforms to a wide-eyed, trembling, crying, tiny little bunny "victim" and tells them YOU ATTACKED HER... because she's already called 911, franticly told the operator her life's in danger and hung up...
Just keep talking about what a pussy this guy is, because you're a big man who'd just show her who's boss, right? ... all I can say is better pray you NEVER get crossed up with any little rogue Satan-ette like this one... no matter how tempting these little toxic rodents may look now, you'll think differently and will learn new appreciation for any woman that DOESN'T look like this. .. How anyone can listen to "Somebody to Love" and not think Fredy is the GOAT...
Flipping amazing performance, my all time favorite of his. But as far as tgoat, that's such an absurd concept when it comes to essence of what music is. You can go to some cheesy-arse music college like Lee University and there are dozens of singers who have multi-octave ranges, flawless technique and overall facility better than 99 percent of the great rock singers... but you could hardly listen to more than 1-2 minutes of any of them before you'd lose interest. Music itself is so independent from judgments like this because what may move one person at a certain moment may be the worst possible thing to hear for another's moment. I fricken' love FM but if he sang every song that I like I'd also fricken' hate the sound of his voice by now. He's one of many greats for sure.

If you make a kid play t ball at 3 or 4 is that the same thing? That kid may have no idea what they're signing up for, but that doesn't mean the dad is trying to live through the kid that still pisses himself. Seriously, why are you turning this into some sort of morality arguement or whatever? Maybe the mom just thinks it will make the baby cuter, IN HER OPINION.
No man, have you worked with kids that have suffered years of dysfunctional parenting? I have. What I'm saying, and honestly man, slow down and use some comprehension skill. I see i'm wasting time, the only reason I'm bothering is because this DOES involve children and maybe a parent can take something away from this. If you've worked with kids it's pretty simple, you roll them a ball, if they roll it back... do it again. If you see a willingness to interact in their eyes, they are learning a motor skill and they enjoy it.
There are thousands of teen suicides directly stemmimg from overbearing parents belittling abilities and humiliating their kids in competitive sports. Two very different things and if you really want to learn, just start Googling. I'm not speaking about moral issues, simply what is a positive or negative input to a child's growth. Opinions are one thing, clinical studies that universally agree, with same data and results are another. Is a mom who wants to pierce a babies ears an indicator of future abusive pageant type syndrome? F#ck no...
But if a child is going to develop into an emotionally healthy, well balanced, well adapted, and productive individual who makes positive contributions to society, it IS a parent's job to MAKE CHOICES for the child and GUIDE a child responsibly... for the CHILD'S SAKE. The second a parent crosses the line and a child becomes the surrogate for the vicarious, it begins to diminish in functioning correctly. None of us are perfect and neither are our children. We all have shortcoming but if we really care, it's not hard to learn to correct ourselves before we inflict it on our kids. But now more than ever, there's a disconnect in society when it comes to knowing how or even desiring to learn to responsibly raise a well adjusted child.

This can't be serious, right? I can understand wanting to let the kid decide or waiting to let them have the responsibility of it, but this is rediculous. Maybe the mom just think the baby "looks cuter" or whatever with her ears pierced. This is just not a big deal either way.
Many times, probably even most, it is no big deal. If you read my first comment you may get what I meant. That's why it's best to know mom's true intentions. I've raised four of my own and been involved with children recovering from dysfunctional parenting for three decades on the peripheral ... when you've read thousands of clinical studies you may be be surprised where dynamics of dysfunction can actually begin. Personally, I just don't see doing anything that requires puncturing a child's body if the goal is as shallow as a personal display which others may tell the mother the child is cute. This is clearly nothing for the child or that it can learn from at the moment. If you want to invest time and money into a child, give him/her your time.. engage him/her with concentrated, focused attention, and teach or challenge them with something that they can use, enjoy, and develop skill or enlightenment with...

Its mom turf. When you have a boy you can decide when to give him his first bow with metal tipped arrows.
This can be a bit different than a Dad that wants to introduce a boy to hunting, building, and sports skills. Piercing ears is closer to a vanity issue than one for developing skill... and if mom is using the child (especially an infant that is clueless) as a display of her own beauty, you can sometimes have some complicated mental sh#t brewing. Same if a dad becomes that overbearing sport parent trying to relive his glory days through jr.... Challenging a child to new skills and experiences (even bow/metal tip arrows) is always a positive approach if IT IS DONE FOR THE CHILD ITSELF to grow and flourish... and done with responsible supervision and instruction. Piercing an oblivious baby can raise slightly different concerns.

It's actually more bizarre than trashy... the baby is clueless so it's simply a public display for the mother. This syndrome is very closely related to the pageant mother neurosis. Piercing a completely oblivious infant's ears is many times the beginning of saddling up a child for a woman's personal vicarious vanity ride on an innocent child's back. Not many better ways to royally f#ck up a kid. Just nip it... ..nip it in the bud.

I think you are correct and this is a slippery psychological slope as a practice in general. This is obviously something your wife wants herself and for show, the baby is clueless. Before she starts this vicarious exhibition and public display through her child... first of all, does she fully understand exactly why she wants to do this and where will it stop? You may horrified to see how far this can actually go.
