Meanwhile Francine is already pushing surge water ahead of her. My friend in Galveston just sent me this photo

I'm pretty sure I saw that photo 16 or 17 years ago for Hurricane Ike in Houston.

the fear an extra two days of parenting puts in a mother fricker

School will be closed for at least two days in my parish the week before the regular and extended deadlines for business returns. I’m not complaining, the parish made a timely decision this time at least,, but let’s please not pretend that parents that providing for your kids isn’t part of parenting. That part never stops.

I would personally love to have a day off with my boys with no other obligations than “parenting” them. But I’m yet to have one.

It was a minor attempt at humor in an otherwise hostile environment

Schools are closed on Wednesday. That’s it so far. Are you saying the schools should be open half a day tomorrow?

Lafayette is closed Tuesday-Thursday

Just went out to run my generator and it wouldn’t start! Dead battery.

I had it serviced in June and the technician asked if I wanted the 2 year old battery replaced and I said no all to save $100….
Now I gotta go out to auto store and get one and install it in the rain.

Chicken needs to implement a short term ban for Hurricane threads.

Be a jackass in a hurricane thread with a named storm in the Gulf? Enjoy a 7 day ban. You can post again when the storm's in North Carolina.

problem is yall become pussies in these threads

one guy earlier said....BR prolly will be without power for a week and people flipped their shite on him

wtf about that is crazy? what part about what he said makes him a jackass?

if its a cat 2 at landfall, the cone shifts east as expected based on the updated models.....that is a very real possibility and people are getting pissed off when its posted

we dont need bans, yall need to stop being pussies and getting butthurt over every little thing. if you dont agree with something...say so and say why

you know...whole communicate and use words like an adult thing and stop having emotional outburst like a child

and i live in LC so dont come at me with the "easy for you to say" or you "dont get it" BS.

looks to be accurate compared to latest NHC update. the 10am update is expected to move that line east though

Any more East and folks down in Grand Isle could be looking at another mess on their hands.

The electricity goes out in this state when the sun shines too hard. I would bet that a majority of schools will close Friday, in fact I would make plans for them to be closed on Friday.
