France’s health ministry has banned a number of popular nicotine-based products including Zyn pouches, and violators of the law could face a nearly half-million-dollar fine and years in jail.

The prohibition extends to the use, acquisition, possession and sale of oral nicotine products such as pouches and gum lozenges. Those violating the law could be penalized by up to five years in prison and a $436,600 fine.

So don't even dare to bring a sleeve with you on a vacation, or you could be sticking around for much longer than you intended to.

Knee jerk reactions are common among do-gooders with power. I'm sure their rationale amounts to, "What good is power if you can't abuse it"?

Years in jail? They can't just let public places ban smoking and not worry about whether someone wants to smoke or not?

Can’t you have a dip on while youre assaulting a woman and they will just arrest her?

What’s doing the most harm to the French? Zyns or Muslims?

I’m glad they are worried about that and not the Muslims and sub saharans that have raped and murdered their own citizens. What a joke Europe has become under leftist leaders.

The same French bureaucrats that enacted this would call Trump a fascist.

Just because I do Zyn doesn't mean I'm trash. If I were to be ripping on a pair of 6's in a fancy French restaurant, I would discretely dispose of them in a napkin prior to eating or tasting wine. If napkins were not available, I would do the classy thing and swallow them (which may result in some limited coughing/gagging, but again, discrete). Worst case scenario and the food unexpectedly comes out after I just popped a fresh one, I'll sneak it behind my ear and put it back in my mouth at an appropriate and bourgeois time.
