After me and the long time girl split about 15 years ago I've been on dates and such through the years but as I get older I've noticed that modern 40-somethings just live their lives doing whatever social media tells them to do. I haven't even bothered in a year or so after my last attempt at a relationship had to break things off because she "couldn't date a sober man". Yeah, she's mid 40's and still wants to go partying and such with her kids at home. I've pretty much given up. It's much more peaceful and financially satisfying not trying to court these drones.

I did for a few years and missing the punani is how I ended up married.
It was pretty peaceful. Hunted or fished all weekend every weekend. Went on random trips to see big trees or buffalo. Etc. Started using Bumble to see about getting more puss. Met my wife and she wouldn't leave me alone so I kept her.

My wife and I aren’t getting along at all right now, pretty low point in our marriage, and I still get tight in the pants just looking at her. She knows it too.

Been single for 12 years now and get to enjoy the piece without ruining my peace.
I don’t have to make sure I respond to any text messages or phone calls. I don’t have to let anyone know if I’m leaving the house. If I want to sit on my arse all day, I don’t have anyone trying to get me to do shite. The list goes on.
I have 3 kids. 1 is a Sr in HS, 1 starts college this year and the other graduated college 3 years ago, so I no longer need a wife/girlfriend for kids and as part of my divorce agreement I didn’t have to pay alimony of child support bc I had the kids with me just as much or more than her as they were growing up.
My experience will obviously be different than others, but as far as my opinion, it’s great.

I’m about to be 74, have been widowed since 2014, very much like women, however I don’t want a relationship and won’t date. I am in a great place with knowing I don’t need someone and I don’t get lonely.
