why? If you can’t trust em drunk and dancing w friends you can’t trust em sober and at work.

If she wants to do shite that would heopardize my marriage it is more likely to happen at a church group

Then you and your spouse should have better people around them.

Not married yet, but he has a pre-existing annual trip with some guys he grew up with for a weekend at one of their lake house. I’ve gone on weekend trips at this point with friends and family without him.

Every 2 years. Friend group has been dispersed across the country over the years. Girls pick a city and stay in a VRBO. We go on a backpacking trip to one of the national parks.

I have an annual guys ski trip. Wife doesn’t like skiing so she’s cool with it.

My group is all mid 40’s. The perfect trip for us is skiing, beer, food, bourbon and an early bedtime

We ain’t trying to chase tail

Wife goes on a girls trip that usually involves married women who are militantly loyal to their men.

Neither of us feel the need to go buck wild anymore and would rather chill times with good people

Is nobody on this board secure in their marriage.

It is OK to trust your partner if you really love them.

Just once in a while a long time ago but not lately.

Wife doesn't go on chicks trips.

My sister and BIL go to the uncle's house for a week, same place, same time of year. Other than that they don't agree on where to go so they don't go anywhere.

A buddy and his wife took primarily separate vacations...they didn't last very long.

A vacation? no.

but occasional weekend trip with the fellas for a concert, ballgame, or fishing/hunting trip.

ETA - wife will take kids to mother in laws without me which I'm perfectly ok with.

Absolutely, they are called hunting trips. Mostly chase ducks. Okie, Kansas, and Arkansas were previous destinations. Going to Canada this year. Wife goes on a trip once a year with her friends from high school. One of them is pretty loaded (married well above her pay grade) so they usually go to her condo in OB but maybe every other year they go to Mexico. A few of them are bat shite crazy and full of drama. Obviously divorced and pissed at all men.

Camping or out-of-town ball games with friends, my dad, or my son. Nothing intentionally involving women though.

This right here. From experience, anything "bad" that could happen on girls or guys trip (with older adults, not talking about HS or 22 year olds right of college) is just as likely, and probably more, to happen at home.

IF your girl or guy flirts with people at the bar (not a big issue at all for me), that probably happens at home too. I also know people that hooked up on trips, but to a person the first time wasn't on the road, it was where they live.

Yes a couple a year . Usually involves hunting , fishing or a sporting event . Me and my wife do a lot of trips together but we have all girl and all guy trips too. It’s pretty healthy and common

My wife occasionally goes on cross-country trips with her female relatives. Being left home alone to do as I please is a vacation for me too.

I'll bump this. Dudes know which one of their friends like coke, or staying up too late than a 35+ year old should. No, I don't want to hire strippers, dude. Women know which of their friends are going to invite dudes back to your VRBO.

However, any trip that mixes sexes involves "queens" (not directed at you or BluegrassBelle) working the men like dogs, usually due to lack of prep and planning. Guys have problems on guy trips, it's who didn't put enough beer on ice. Women have problems, it's different, and it's your fault, even if the man isn't there.

My best guess to OP (which will not work) is to establish guardrails, and not get pissed when she blows them out of the water. You're pissing in the woods while she's getting lapdances in Nashville, but somehow same/same in her head?

Sure. She has a weekend or two a year with her sister and best friend and I usually have a golf trip to see some of my old HS friends.
