I have a seven year old that looks a lot like her. When I saw this it hit me hard. Dude is a monster, and deserves to be put down in the worst way possible!!!

Why the F would anyone downvote the OP?

I’m guessing bc it’s a horrible story about a child getting murdered.

Eh, he’s just going to sit on death row for 20-40 years before dying of natural causes. That’s how the death penalty usually works. Regardless of whether you want to hear it.

If anything the isolation of death row will increase his lifespan by preventing other inmates from getting to him.

This guy better never do a day in protective custody. I want this MF’er to get treated the way Jeff Dahmer was.

I’ve alternated between rage and wanting to bawl since reading details. Bless the jurors for having to listen to the audio.

Texas might execute 1% of the people it sentences to death, vs 0.1% in other states. Still not much of a chance of execution.

Great, as it should be. He should get tossed off a high building tonight.

Yeah, death penalty is all solitary confinement. That can be tortorous of and in itself (hence the whole "death row syndrome"), but it'll protect him from violence.

Where are you getting your figures? Quick searches suggest you are way off with Texas.

And your statement has changed from most die of natural causes and now most aren’t executed.

I understand my Catholic Church is against the death penalty, but in cases like this I find myself having no sympathy for the criminal.

that is correct...the jury was only deciding if he would get life or the death penalty...

Hats off to the jury for administering some well deserved justice. Hopefully the sentence is carried out very swiftly.

I’d be for something along the lines of what governor Woodes Rodgers does to Blackbeard in the tv series Black Sails.
