i thought that was true as well before i started following this case...
eta: he was never offered a deal, but he pled guilty anyway...so he basically just skipped the trial phase and went straight to the penalty phase...

that is correct...the jury was only deciding if he would get life or the death penalty...

i'm pretty sure if darla had passed away, someone would have mentioned it on the food board...there are several posters there that know her irl...the last time i saw a thread similar to this one, someone said the same thing, but it was actually the poster gris gris they were referring to...darla last posted in the thread when gris gris died...

go to settings and scroll down to "enbedded media" in "content settings"...you might have "show as links" selected, and you can change that in the dropdown menu...
