Bernie Mac.
Met him in a hotel bar in NOLA the night of our wedding.
He was funnier in person than on the screen.
Great guy, may he RIP in peace.

Will he recover from the wiener incident?
I've seen him live since that incident, he was still hilarious and actually made fun of the incident

Wayne Brady around 2003. We just knew him as that guy from Whos Line. Took a shot and went to see him and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I never understood improv until I saw him do it live.

One who surprised me was Jay Mohr. Was in Vegas with a group of guys at the Paris casino and one of them scored huge at the craps table. The pit boss threw him some comp tix to the show for all of us. Mohr was great. Did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

I can’t believe Daniel Tosh only got one mention. That’s criminal. I think a lot of people just don’t realize he’s a standup comedian.

The old Laff Stop in Houston, I'm not sure. I've forgotten some of the legends I've seen there.

recently, Nate Bargatze.

Joe Rogan was great. Much raunchier than any of his Netflix episodes.
Ron White was also great, kind of as seen on TV though.

Also, had no idea he went to Tulane.

Yep and he alluded to it in his act which was in New Orleans

He was like “I have no idea why I went there, I’m not a Jew and I hate hot weather” or something like that.

He’s really incredible with his timing and delivery.
Very edgy too

Jeez I've seen almost nobody live. I just realized this.

Daniel Tosh at the River Center was good.

Saw Dave Chappelle/Jon Stewart/Pete Davidson show a couple years ago. Amazing how intelligently funny Chappelle and Stewart are. Pete was funny too, but just in a goofy, awkward way rather than cerebral.

The only other comedian I've seen live is Bobcat Goldthwait at a small comedy club back in like 1991. A lot of his material was just making fun of his own career, but his delivery was great.

Saw Norm in person twice, and I am one of his biggest fans, so him.

This isn’t a popularity contest. It’s who we have seen LIVE. Maybe he hasn’t been to the South much.
