re: Experiences with Manuel Builders (good or bad)?
Posted by Jdiggy on 2/28/26 at 5:41 am to Unobtanium
I just finished a build with Cretin end of last year. Customized a floor plan using parts from two of their models. Just know that a lot of initially quoted $/sf, that’s probably going to be vinyl flooring, carpet in bedrooms, ok but not good cabinets, hollow core doors, non insulated garage, non fortified roof, no gutters, combo vinyl siding,/brick facade, the list goes on and on. Doesn’t matter who the builder is, you are going to pay if want all of the extras that you know you would be missing if you’ve owned a home before. I would definitely recommend Cretin to anyone. They only build the slab up. You are responsible for site and utilities. But they can provide recommended contractors and even coordinate all of the work. I just gave the check directly to those contractors. I was very pleased with their quality of work. From pouring slab to handing me the keys for a 2500sf house was 5 months. They also, pretty much will adjust the floor plans completely and provide a quote with zero financial commitment. Also, no change orders were driven by them. The one or two things they missed during design, they took care of themselves.

re: 3 Data Centers to be built in north Louisiana?

70% of Louisiana’s electrical capacity currently supplies industrial customers. All that has done was give us some of the lowest utility rates in the country. Why do yall think data centers change anything?

Politicians should stop wasting our money.
Yall are insane. The main driver for all of that, Covid and the money printing that happened under trumps first term. Someone please provide something else that caused this.
Go watch blue chips. If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t winning.

I didn’t research it but comments claiming the father victim was a drug dealer. So not a totally random event.
Ah, to be young and in love.

You want to encourage home field advantage.
re: Am I the only one concerned about allowing coaches to go to OM

Maybe the only reason that they actually agreed to come to LSU was if they would be allowed to finish the season at Ole Miss. So if they do end up back at Ole Miss, so what? They wouldn’t even have considered coming without be allowed to do it, so what’s the difference. You can’t force someone to do a job they don’t want to do. This isn’t communism.

So are you saying LSU should claim the 2011 title because they beat Bama in the regular season? Do you see how stupid that sounds?
There was no need to overhaul the BCS the way they did. All they needed to do was add the 12 team playoffs to those rankings. People were saying it at the time.
Hogs fan just gay porn bombed the sec scoreboard. Everything is going swimmingly.

Verge said he was fine waiting until the playoffs when this was kicked off.
There were reporters knocking on the visitor suite doors harassing Alleva in the middle of a game on national TV to ask about Tom Herman.
Were you not around for Ed O or Brian Kelly hiring?

We’re you not around when we promoted Ed Orgeron?
re: If no decision today OM most likely extended the deadline. Do we wait?

He said it during an interview with Moscana I believe. The same interview where he talked about Saban.

You mean the school that could afford that $20M defense and $56M buyout.

The coaching board is filled with posters who must have only joined after Brian Kelly was hired. No hire, including I believe Les Miles, had a correct consensus on this board, until they were officially announced.
