File charges and seek reimbursement. Get that animal in the system.

You going to get a water bottle thrown at you.

I’d be pretty pissed off and go after the school as part of it.

Just kill the kid man. Judging by your incessant need to have this be an issue, we all know that's what is going to happen.

That's crappy insurance. Mine has been $100 for awhile.

That isn't enough info alone to gauge the quality of a health plan. Many plans have low co-pays (or even none) but the co-insurance is something like 50/50. Hell, some catastrophic plans have no co-pays for hospital/ER visits but you get billed for 90% of the absurd charges.

Why the hell did y’all go to the ER? I smashed the side of my face at recess when I was in 2nd grade and needed stitches and my parents just brought me by the pediatrician and they patched me up real quick.

If I don't see bone, clean the wound and super glue it shut.

Talking about accountability and responsibility, when you took your child to the ER you knew of the deductible. That was your choice. Sounds like this could have been at the very least a trip to the urgent care or the Pediactrics clinic. My kids seemed to have gotten busted in the head several times by something, I know what the ER cost so mine learned to walk it off. LOL

If you're that type, why not sue the school?

Sounds like the other kid's parents need to sue them for telling you their kid has a history of behavior issues too.

I have no issue with asking to pay the deductible or any cost incurred

Ask the school for their insurance info; you help pay for it. Then file a claim. If you’ve already handled it under your coverage, give the day care’s insurer info to your health insurance and let them subrogate.
