So you think the “two irreplaceable guys” he referenced were Bear and Dickinson?

Bear and Frey.

He was talking specifically about offensive production and trying to replicate that through the portal.
That whole interview is awesome. He’s honest about what this team actually is and you can tell he’s pissed at himself because he constructed this team. What has and will always be respected by me at least is Jay always has a detailed plan. This team was a plan that just didn’t work. But Jay will learn and adapt because he’s the best coach in college baseball. Sometimes I wish our fanbase understood this as a whole and appreciated the fact that baseball and especially portal era baseball is fricking hard. At least we have the best coach to go after it every year. But the ignorant part of the fanbase can be loud and that’s just annoying at times.

Aidan Anding might have made the two most impressive plays of Saturday’s scrimmage. He won’t be making any more for an extended time.

The sophomore cornerback tore his Achilles after hauling in an interception in Tiger Stadium. Multiple sources have confirmed the injury to LouisianaSports.net. Monday night, Anding made an Instagram post alluding to the news.
I love that channel. You idiots could learn a lot watching Promethean Action
Some of you are taking this potential sweep in Oxford pretty bad.

“Considering all the wild pitches and passed balls this season have you thought about a shift that puts the centerfielder behind the catcher?”

Do you even Anchorman bro?

SB is fricking hilarious though.

Who is taking the First Team reps besides Moore and Seaton?

Just remember how guys like Cowan and Arrambide have been treated this year by the fans when they had poor showings. To a lesser extent, Dardar was written off as well. Grant Fontenot had no role 5 weeks ago.

Don’t give up on talented players. Yorke will be counted upon again at some point.

Good post. What sticks out to me is his swing path. He seems to be having trouble barreling up with better caliber velocity. It may have not been obvious against lesser competition but the swing and miss and constant popping up is something that is Jay's wheelhouse and I hope they figure this out. Because he has a great eye at the plate. He just needs to be able to make hard contact on mistakes like Jay preaches and that isn't happening for him. JMHO.

He is average at the plate. He was leading starters in OBP coming into today. He had a good series last weekend too. He’s an enigma.

I know. I want so badly for him to succeed. He’s just so frustrating. I love how he walks a lot. But damn the inconsistency and pop ups are insane.
I can’t wait until Yorke is on 2nd in a game tying high leverage situation and gets thrown out at home. Because that’s what we’re heading towards. You allow those situations to possibly exist if he’s worth a shite at the plate. He’s not so we literally are trotting out a liability every game for little return.
Yorke is a fricking liability in serious situations. Goodness gracious. If it’s not a K it’s a pop up. JUST PUT THE BALL IN PLAY YOU frick

It is important that Evans continue to start games for his development, not only for this year but for next. He is not far from figuring it out.

Fair enough. I understand this take.

Moore is hurt, but the overall idea is dumb even if he is healthy.

No it isn’t? We did the same thing last year? It’s not the same level of staff but it’s the same concept with what you have.
Y’all are such f@ggots. It’s an idea and we’re 3-5. I just want to win 2/3 and pitch our best guys together while we figure out the lineup long term

What gives you so much confidence we go 2/3 with this strategy?

The current SEC record
Schmidt is your ace. Have him go Friday with Evans and win game one. Moore with Cowan and Guidry on Saturday. Sunday I don’t care. We need to win series.

You have enough pieces to do situational matchups when needed. Win the first two and get back in this thing with your horses.
