My son is in preschool and another kid with a history of behavior issues threw a metal water bottle at my son’s face (who was just standing there and did nothing to provoke the attack). Based on the teachers recommendation, we took him to the ER but doctor said he probably didn’t need stitches.

I think it’s only fair to ask the other kids parents to reimburse us for the medical bill. What says the OT?

I'd start with the school buddy. Do you know how to put pants on in the morning?

Or the school may have medpay on their liability insurance which is a no fault coverage meant to cover smallish medical expenses when something happens on their property.

You know the OT answer:

frick the kid's MILF mom.

Kick his Dad's arse.

Get a couple of classmates to whip the kid's arse for $20.

Would like to say no plaintiff atty would take this case, but there is always a whore desperate enough for money. They say "no", I'd go to the school next as suggested.

Why would a teacher no more than you if ER visit is warranted? Couldn’t have just taken him to pediatrician and not ER?

I’m sure sending them a polite email will do the trick… You will probably need to sue them unless they are super upstanding people.

This kid is obviously on the spectrum and wouldn’t talk in full words when we were at the open house. Parents probably thought he’d get a better education with smaller class sizes, but this is what happens instead.

quite an assumption, but if it's true, then his parents probably suck.

tbh, they probably suck either way if their kid is throwing shite around at other kids.

Yeah I do have health insurance but it’s clear my kid isn’t at fault so principle says his folks should pay the bill. If my kid did something like this I’d pay the bill for the other parents.

This is just bringing flashbacks to me from flag football practice in elementary school when another kid body slammed me and caused a concussion and his parents wouldn’t pay the medical bills.
