You can track transponders and I never see them turned on in fast movers outside of T-38’s. Either they don’t have them or always off.

Strike aircraft do not have them

Queue the “CHY-NA” gif.

Biden and the dims done gave ‘em a fully tricked-out F35. Good Lord we’re screwed.

I mean, has anyone thought to interrogate the pilot?

One would think they might be able to shed some light. And it sounds like there was another plane out there with him, did they not see anything?

So fricking odd that something of that size and value with that technology over a populated area would just disappear. No one saw a splash, no smoke cloud, nothing?

Twitter rumors already starting saying it landed in Cuba LOL

Or did China just hack a F-35 and kick out pilot?

Pilot should have put an Apple airtag on it.

If this is actually what happened - or anything like it - we will never know about it.

I can't believe they don't know what the frick happened to an F-35 that's been missing for almost 24 hours

really? this is what you have a hard time believing? it is the same military that flew a jet to DC, left it at Andrews AVB with Nukes onboard for 3 days before someone realized they were just sitting on the tarmac.

And here's the thing. If they never find, you will never know. They can't leave that open-ended, so whether they actually find it or not, they will find it.

The USAF is having a bad September. Last week the LADoT thought they found a missile on I-20. Turns out it was only a missile mount that fell off a plane.

Then a door from a plane landed in someone’s yard in Benton.

Those two incidents were missing pieces of planes in North Louisiana. Now the USAF has lost a whole plane in South Carolina.

Surely the pilot would alert the tower if he was having some mechanical issues. He certainly would announce his intent to eject.

They’re gonna find it in Nola, missing the wheels and sitting on cinderblocks.

How well does one of these things fly after you blow a big hole in the cockpit?
