Was this a vtol variant?
What if the chicoms were waiting in a field with equipment and personnel to containerize the plane and hit the road. Can’t imagine how much r&d is in that plane.

No units are allowed to fly until they have a two-day discussion about safety measures and procedures, the commandant said in a service-wide email on Monday.
Wait, so we want to talk about these things AFTER our $120,000,000 jet flies away?
This makes me think there might be a bit more to this story than just some pilot accidentally ejecting.

Probably, since a jarhead was flying it.

no one will address the ACTUAL issue we're having, which is retention of talent. but we'll beat to death things like "having a culture of safety".
i dont know anything about the specifics of this individual incident, but there have been a ton of problems over the past year both on the air and ground side, and there is no way it isnt related to the hemorrhaging of quality NCOs, SNCOs, and officers we've been going through.

I always thought a big plot hole in this movie was what happened to all the airplanes.

it's less about that (but that is part), and more about the fact that our 3 and 4 stars have become little more than political apparatchiks themselves, and Marines dont trust them.

You dont need to run 3 miles in 18 minutes to fix a damn IFF system.

My son is a retired Marine officer. He says he hopes if Trump gets into office again he fires all generals and admirals. He says there are some good ones, but most got their stars through politics.

In unrelated news, MCAS Cherry Point tactfully acquired a new F35.

Does this mean they will finally stop looking for those 3/6 rifles? Lol

I mean, was it partially controlled by fricking AI and the pilot “got ejected”? I’m half joking but also kinda half serious.

Does your son know that most of these generals got their first or subsequent stars while Trump was in office?
