If the numbers are right or not I have no clue.. but give all the information.

"In 2023 alone, the event drew more than 400,000 visitors and generated an estimated $345 million for the local economy, according to a study by Dillard University."

Well...bye! However, when will NOLA restaurants close for cleaning and renovations? During the Bayou Classic?

That 2020 election math.

In New Orleans, hotels are more than where you park your suitcase – they’re a place to meet, eat, network, recharge and get great ideas about what to experience when your time is your own. New Orleans has more than 26,000 hotel rooms, most within a walkable 2-mile radius of downtown and the French Quarter.

I would hate to see the study's napkin math. Definitely off by tens if not a hundred million or so.

400,000 visitors for one is way too much for an event that culminated on a Tuesday.

July 4, 2023 was Tuesday.

Superdome seats maybe 80,000 for a concert of this type. 26K hotel rooms in downtown. Add another 5k or so for traveling vendors or artists and their entourage.

It would be like a mini Katrina.
unless it’s yearly - sort like how the Bayou Classic ruins NOLA every year

How many per room? How many air bnb? How many drive in and leave? own a tri plex on Esplanade and it's booked. The guy next to me has a 7 bedroom and he has been packed the three years I've been next door. Like I said I don't know if the numbers are right or wrong but if the city does decide to give the $12 mil I'm sure it's worth their wild.

Funny how cultcha brags about entrepreneurial prowess yet can't seem to run a venture without tax dollars.

All those folks in 25k hotel rooms and a not sold out super dome?

Or do they count a 3 day ticket holder who goes to the convention center daily, dome nightly and a couple events as 10 unique attendees
