LV Collective is finishing a student housing project in the city I live in right now. They're aggressive and candidly are less concerned with the economics than other developers. This is highly likely to move forward.

Embassy is NO MO! It was demolished and a new apartment is being built in its place.

People asking about how this is paid for and rich parents.

Certainly, there's a little of that. But don't forget TOPS. A lot of kids qualify for basic, so the $ saved (or which would have been borrowed) for tuition now goes to housing.

One of the reasons why undergrads at LSU have much nicer places than post-grad students.

Kids are flocking to "The South" for schools, all the North East, Mid West and Ivy league liberal woke bullshite is causing a shift.

This will be a complex with restaurants, bars, etc etc on the bottom and $3,500.00 a month apartments/pool/gym above.

Oh, El Cid. I lived and worked there in the mid to late 1980’s. Lot of great times and ownership was great folks.

Something has changed from the long ago.

With similar resources: I lived in a clapped out hovel outside north gate 40 years ago My nephew lived in a luxury condo complex 20 years ago. The new developments sound nicer still. Shifting priorities I guess.
