re: What were you doing 22 years ago, Sunday January 4, 2004?

My dad and our tailgating krewe decided to take some bleachers from our high school practice/soccer field and moved them into a garage for a watch party.
I sat in those bleachers in that garage and was in disbelief afterwards. Talked smack to one of my teachers the next day who said that Matt Mauck wasn't a championship QB.

Went there with my wife last night for our anniversary.
Really delightful experience.
They did a good job on the restoration and the dining area is nice and romantic. They sat us on a bench right next to each other which we thought was a little odd, but it worked!
Got several smaller dishes to share (Tarte Tatin, Poached Shrimp, Gumbo) and for mains the duck and the gnocchi.
Bartender made a tasty old fashioned as well.
Yes you have to go to Algiers, but it is removed far enough from everything else to make you realize you aren't there!
I very much recommend!

Ok, if you haven't made any reservations, try Saint Claire. Really damn good

How many National Championship teams has Frank been a part of?

Wife and I went to La Petite a while back. It was really good and a nice atmosphere.
If you do Lilette, courtyard is the way to go as long as it isn't too cold.
We will be going to St. Clare for our anniversary this coming Thursday. I can report on that after we go.

If 50 keeps his helmet on, they kneel it out.
Did the coaches make them aware that SCC had 2 timeout left?
Also sounded like the scoreboard operator wasn't doing too hot of a job, because announcers thought they just had 1 left instead of 2.

When beer was my main source of drinking, I used to enjoy their stuff.

My thinking is:
If he's LSU bound it will be before the OU game so it can be talked about during the broadcast.
If he is staying it will be after the OU game

re: Have any of y'all been directly affected by a Mass Casualty Event/Terrorist Attack?

Closest it has affected me was that I taught Hubert (NOLA NYE attack)
re: Rumors of Saban guiding or urging LK to LSU
Posted by biglosdaddy on 11/24/25 at 4:00 pm to LSBoosie
Let's think about this...
Saban regrets leaving LSU
Lane is same age as when Saban took LSU job
He could definitely tell Lane to go to LSU and retire there, if he doesn't act like an idiot

re: What’s your order at Chimes?
Posted by biglosdaddy on 11/14/25 at 11:42 am to gaetti15
My usual: Chimes club sandwich, blackened, with fries and a side salad with ranch
Other stuff:
When with a number of people, the blackened alligator or the spinach artichoke dip (those bowties might be the best part of it)
Crab and brie also good
Seafood lasagna rich and tasty as well
BBQ Shrimp poboy
Bread pudding to cap it off
You are making me question my decision to go to Roul's tomorrow as I usually do...

Wife and I went to Lilette the other night and sat in the courtyard
Quiet, good drinks, good food
Not too fancy, but a really nice evening out
