That's highway robbery compared to what is happening around here. But your people are also going to the doc for the injection weekly. People I know are paying $300 for 3mL (essentially 3 months or more worth depending on dosage) and that comes with all the injection supplies. Lab work once every 3 months if they are having issues
. Keep in mind these are all tennis ladies who don’t work and live in very affluent areas.
Those are compounded semaglutides and not Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro. They are unregulated and not FDA approved. Cheap may not always be the way to go. That is where you can grow a third arm.

If you are overweight you are likely insulin resistant/pre-diabetic and it helps that.

honestly Ozempic feels like a medicated eating disorder.
if your balancing out a serious weight issue it makes sense
if you’re kinda chubby it doesn’t

I dunno man, have you seen Jonah Hill lately? Guy looks like he got recently sprung from a concentration camp.

Why are you so triggered by fat people losing weight? You rage your arse off in these threads everytime.

I lift 3-4 times a week and walk 10 miles

I’ve lost 40 lbs on Ozempic.

That’s not true. Those are RX by doctors for Mounjaro and $3200 isn’t cheap.

I’ll wait to hear from Dr Dre before forming an opinion.
Well, Dr. Dre said....

well ideally yea but better to lose weight using ozempic than remaining fat or dying young. not to mention you can lift weights and prioritize protein to mitigate muscle loss the muscle loss happens not from the medicine but the huge deficit, lack of protein and lack of resistance training.
It’s been given to my 72 year old mom who is maybe 30 or 40 lbs overweight. Doc gave her no instruction to resistance train or prioritize protein. Is she better off going into old age thinner, with less muscle mass? I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s as cut and dry as the case of a young-ish man who weighs 300lbs.

I'd encourage people to trust their own prescribers over any Tik Tok docs
So you'd take something like Ozempic despite people having severe side effects just because your doctor said to?

Why fly a kite when you could just pop a pill?

I see the Fatties are hating on you with the Downvotes in the OP. However, I've actually listened to a few doctors, researchers, and dietitians discuss this class of drugs, and there seems to be pretty good evidence that they should be restricted to the morbidly obese. The best way to lose weight is still diet and exercise, you know, the hard stuff
