any doctor who subscribes to the truth knows that only telling patients 'quit doing unhealthy things and do more healthy things' without being willing to provide further intervention doesn't always yield adequate results. it is that simple.

people benefit from a little help as is done with numerous other problems.
smokers...chantix for help quiting
alcoholics....naltrexone to reduce craving
malnutrition...megace to cause craving
overeaters...stimulants now being replaced by ozempic
the list goes on.

Im ok with erring on the side of efficacy if i can prevent/slow development/progression of diabetes before it leads to CV disease, stroke, renal disease possibly dialysis, blindness, amputations etc... or I could stop at 'i said to do better'

I have lost 23 pounds in six months with Ozempic. It will not help if you eat ice cream every night.
The medicine has helped me eat less but I have eaten more clean foods like berries, salmon, and baked chicken.
I started at 225 pounds in March and I am currently at 202 lbs.

I do move around more and my cholesterol is now in the normal range of 155. The medicine doesn’t keep me from eating garbage it helps me not get overly hungry where I used to overeat bad foods. I am a diabetic with insulin resistance.

That’s awesome, man! I’ve been on Semaglutide for about a year, kinda took a break around the beginning of the year, and started working out about a year ago 3 days a week I’m down around 50 to 250 but still want to get down to 220 or so! I honestly haven’t felt this good or been in as good of shape since possibly high school! Without it I know I’d probably still be up there!

Drug class has been used since 2005. When are we supposed to see these issues arise? Treat their constipation. Problem fixed. Guess we need to avoid any medicines that can constipate now.

I’ve seen a lot of messed up opinions and thoughts on the OT, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone looking forward to others getting cancer. This is might be an all time low for the OT.

who has been working out a ton in combination with taking this and her weight loss just over the last 2 months has been insane.

That’s the key right there. I know someone that’s been taking Mounjaro for several months and the weight hasn’t gone up but it hasn’t gone down either. Eating better and exercise plus a shot will probably make a difference, but it could be done without the shot IMO. Without eating healthier and moving around more I don’t think these wonder drugs have that much effect on weight loss, and I’m talking about actual obese people with type two diabetes.

23 lbs in 6 mos isn't much. Less than a lb a week. I lost 50 lbs in 5 mos dieting. The struggle is in keeping it off.

That’s not true. Those are RX by doctors for Mounjaro and $3200 isn’t cheap.

$3200 is probably pretty accurate. The $300 listed above is not for those drugs. It’s for compound imitations. Might have fentanyl in it for all anyone knows. I’d take the Covid vaccine before I took a black market Ozempic.
