Not specifically I-12, but that exit at Range needs a redo. Takes forever. A nice right lane merges drivers further down onto Range and bypassing that light would be a start.

Question 1: Please select “Elected Official”

Otherwise, the rest of your survey answers will be ignored.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with I-12 except for idiot drivers and truckers going too goddamn fast. You can't engineer you way out of that.

Thanks for linking that!

-I12 needs to be at least 3-laned in both directions for its entire length
-We need at least an extra lane from the 10/12 to Range. Hell, even auxiliary lanes from the Airline to O'Neal would help.
-Get rid of the clover leaves at Airline and I55. Airline's traffic has to be far outside it's capacity and the short entrance lanes coming onto 12W from 55S and 12E from 55N are deathtraps.

The 12/55 and 10/49 interchanges are both deathtraps and need to be redone with flyover ramps asap

Death trap?

It's a straight road. It's the phones, tailgating, speeding and stupid drivers that cause issues.

No survey will fix that.

Change the I12 Airline interchange. With the metered light, you get 100 yards to go 0-60.

Expanded lanes would allow for additional room to steer clear of idiots..

More room for idiots and speeding and weaving. Additional lanes don't always equate to safe driving habits.

Should default to green and change to red when it senses a car pass. No reason for it to be red when there's a 30 yard gap between cars. I'm supposed to drive up to the red light, stop and wait for it to sense me there before it turns green when there's no one in front of me? Let me keep my speed

They need to widen the entire thing to a minimum of three lanes in each direction.

But for now, the number 1 priority should be the complete rebuild of the 12/55 interchange. Built to accommodate the eventual widening there.

Followed by the 12/Airline interchange. Although I don’t think they’ll get a widening here in the near future. At least not before the full length of the route is widened.

Cloverleaf interchanges were suitable for 1970 level traffic and speeds. They are so badly outmoded in 2026.

Reduce the speed limit to 60 mph, and regulate it aggressively similar to the basin bridge.
