I told them to get off their arse and rebuild the Airline Highway and I-55 cloverleafs with modern high speed interchanges.

I haven’t seen anyone aggressively regulating the Basin bridge since before Covid.

Put up a sign stating Texas drivers must stay in the right lane to avoid LA driver road rage incidents.

DOTD in La is an absolute joke! Mismanagement from the top to the bottom! They create traffic with there slow work progress. Simply adding a light or repairing an existing shoulder can take months where in Alabama they will have that shite done in a week or less.

After all this time, we're at the survey stage?
DOTD is an embarrassment. While neighboring states continue to invest in modern infrastructure, improved safety measures, and updated highway systems, Louisiana continues to fall behind. It's time for the DOTD to be held accountable and prioritize the safety and modernization of our roads before more lives are put at risk.

The issue with i12 safety is 2 things
1. People who drive pickup trucks and think their lives are more important than everyone and drive 90mph
2.nissan Altima drivers

Truck traffic is what drives most of the problems. 18 wheeler driving 68 in the left hand lane passing an 18 wheeler driving 67 in the right hand lane. Traffic stacks up for miles behind, and as soon as one gets over it’s a mad dash to try to get past before it inevitably happens again.
You have this mix of people driving 60 with people driving 90. There’s no in between.
If the cops ever actually enforced obstructing the flow of traffic instead of bullshite, it might actually help.

Fix the 12/55 split clover pattern
A 1940-era design put out there in the 1960s by our illustrious Highway Department.
Not the best, not the safest, not the second-best or safest, not the third best or safest. The cheapest. And fastest to construct. Ironic because everyone uses public freeways. The loved ones of politicians and of the State Highway engineers use them. And we got shitty freeways.
We’ve been a stupid State for a long time.
