I’m not personally offended, but I assume the person displaying one is either a racist or extremely ignorant (most likely both).

Doesn't offend me but I'm not a Confederate flag waver, either.

To me it just represents the southern region at this point. Doesn't mean people hate humans with dark skin like the left tries to present.

The only flag I wave is the American flag.

It's just a flag of time pass. No big deal the last 50 years.

No, but I also have no attachment to it at all.

No, but I saw a couple walk into a restaurant a couple weeks ago fully decked out in confederate flags. The chick had a confederate flag dress and a confederate flag pullover that she put on when she got cold.

I somewhat defend people that display a flag because I don't always think it's a symbol of hate, but the way that couple has themselves covered in it was pretty obvious what they were saying.

Doesn’t offend me, I do think many fly it as an F U to government. I wouldn’t fly it. I can also look at the other side and see why obviously blacks wouldn’t appreciate it. I don’t think slavery was 100% cause of the war but it definitely was a large part of it.

Not at all. Proud to be a Southerner.

The problem is the flag is used almost exclusively by extreme trash or outright racists and hateful mfers.

There is a whole section of our population who are fine with the flag who are history nuts and who really do just like the flag to show Southern pride.

No one's going to argue why black folks might not like it. Or why people look at someone rocking it and assume theyre trashy.

Its time to rehabilitate the ole battle flags image. Lord knows we're revising every other part of history.

Which is completely understandable, right?

With that knowledge, what purpose does it serve to display it? Everyone that does knows exactly the message that it sends regardless of attempts to justify it with other purported motivations.

No.

And by the way, it’s ok to be offended. People have turned into such thin skinned vaginas that most people view offense as a physical assault.

Any who ever says “I’m offended” can go frick themselves.

No, but if it’s not in a cemetery, historical marker, or museum, it definitely causes me to make some assumptions about the person flying it.

It doesn't offend me at all, but people who fly it out in public are probably ignorant (except lsu rebel flag, which I think is always awesome). I have multiple little confederate flags, magnets, and trinkets in my house. I love history and I'm fascinated by the Civil War, it's my favorite subject to read about. The flag is a huge part of my family's history, so a little bit of it will always be in my house somewhere.

I don’t think I have never been offended. I’ve been mildly perturbed.

The thing people need to understand about freedom, is that it’s a license for people to do things you don’t like. Where there is freedom there is dissent. There are no confederate flags in North Korea if you understand my point.
