Vance was selected for two reasons:
1) to help with midwestern swing states
2) to be a 'yes man' and support Trump on every decision
He wasn't a great pick but I'd say he's a damn solid pick....

People seem to forget or not realize Trump only lost Minnesota by 1.5% in 2016.
Polling seems to have the state as razor thin right now. Obviously the edge goes to Minnesota here but it's not as lopsided as people think. It's not Massachusetts/Vermont. Rural Minnesota is strongly Republican....

West Virginia, Montana and Ohio will be flips to the Republicans.
Arizona, Nevada and Michigan are toss-ups.
Pennsylvania and Wisconsin will remain with Democrats....

Correct me if I'm wrong but I also believe LSU and Wake Forest were the only teams to be ranked #1 during the season. I know there are several polls for baseball but they were clearly the best teams that season.
