Do you think we smell in color?

I was cooking some bacon on the stove this morning and dozed off in my lazyboy recliner. The smell woke me up but before i could even see what the smell was i knew it was brown-starting to turn black bacon. Just from the smell alone i could imagine what was causing that smell based off the color of what my nose told me

Fascinating.
You didn’t have enough intentional typos in this one though.

How much pot did you have this morning?
Associating the smell of burning bacon with burning bacon isn’t smelling color lol

I think you use language inside your head as learned behavior.
It's why heat - to most folks at least - brings up images of orange/red, even though flame can be blue or you can pick up radiant heat with no color.
And smell is, typically, for most people the sense most closely associated with memory.

The reason your brain connected the smell of bacon to the color brown is because bacon is brown.

Post of the year nominee. I used to go brown to black in my heavy drinking days. And I’ve 100% smelled the color purple before.

You almost smelled your house burning down. Who leaves a pan of popping bacon frying in the kitchen and falls asleep? Idiot

Do you crop-dust at the grocery just to stew in your own pew?
