I honestly can’t remember when we got rid our landline. I’m guessing somewhere around maybe 2008-2010?
What’s funny, I can’t remember what my last home phone number was. But I remember my phone number in the 1970s and early 80s was 589-6486.

We have one but only because my company pays for it.

Fun fact. If you have a home elevator, at least in St Tammany, Code requires you to have a lane line in the elevator car.

I get my landline free as part of my retirement so, yes, I still have one. I occasionally use it for the speakerphone clarity it provides.

Not since moving in 2000. I haven’t had a desk phone at work for about 5 years.

Not since our children moved out.

Have not used a land line in almost 15 years but interestingly had to have one for about 5 years after that. Wife had a job that required her to be able to fax orders. So had one that a fax machine was hooked up to but no phone.

i do, i don't even know why. it's just sort of there. Fielding telemarketer calls.

Yes!
I never give out my cell number. I get almost zero spam calls.
The landline gets a quick glance at the call ID, and gets answered 1/5 times.
Also, cell phones tend to drop important calls, landlines do not. Nothing worse the 30 minutes on hold, and the call drops.

My parents JUST got rid of theirs finally and made me cry a tear or two of happiness. They should have gotten rid of it 10-15 years ago.

Years ago we ported our landline to a free Google Voice account using a $45 OBI voice adapter.
We provide that landline number when shopping online.
Today the only people who call it are telemarketers and a few clueless in-laws.
