I don't think you have ever been to Lake Charles if you can make this statement.
The key word is future. Lake Charles has an industry base that pays blue collar plant workers a healthy wage. Refineries and LNG plants also support a fair amount of college educated engineers. I’m not saying that it’s going to be the next great city, but at least its trajectory is stable/slightly up, as opposed to New Orleans.
What are the metrics? If population, the Northshore, but I probably wouldn’t rank them if using a QOL metric with traffic, overcrowding, crime, etc. (as far as promising/improving), although they do have a pretty good lead in those areas, compared to other cities.

As long as we keep elected the same people and doing the same shiat, nothing will change.
Lots of potential. But anytime anyone does or suggests anything progressive, the vocal dips yell and scream.....and here we are

Louisiana has multiple dying cities in a dying state in a dying country. Find some place to tough it out and wait for the doom!

It’ll be a suburb to a larger city. People wanting to get away from the crime and poverty but still have to work in the larger city.
The Northshore would my guess as “promising”? Nice area that still has potential for growth.
A lot of area to grow between Zachary and St. Francesville.

There are few places nicer in Louisiana than St. Tammany. If they can get more affordable housing and diversify the tax base, it would cement its place as top, if not there already.
That’s gonna be a no for me, dawg

I see New Orleans becoming a much bigger dump. Once they allow legal drugs, sex, and gambling in a closed off area of the city. Kind of like in that tv show oz. Will be the American Amsterdam but crime will drop drastically around the city. Money from the drug and sex taxes will make the city rich once again.

No love for Alex. Mayor Roy is going to lead the city into the 14th century

I'd say the Northshore
St Tammany will have a new corridor soon connecting to bush and sun. I suspect that area south of the river to boom soon. Southern Washington parish is going to get larger due to cheaper taxes and it’s proximity to St Tammany, but people won’t “live” there. They’ll spend their money in St Tammany.

Ferriday. Seriously, it cannot get worse.

I’d say Lake Charles and/or Lafayette are the only hopes left
I don't think there is a hope, but this is correct.

Keep this area small
They can call it Short Storyville

Love Belle River and Pierre Part. Small town, solid growth in property values for riverfront. Amazing people. Low crime.

Do you see any Cities in Louisiana with a promising future?
Guess the parish is Louisiana’s best-kept secret
Can’t wait to see the effect the new port has on our parish and the highway they’re building to service it… we have our share of NIMBYs but I think it’s inevitable.
The trashy parts of our parish are dying out and we’re building a new reputation as a middle class suburb of New Orleans

WBR and Pointe Coupee are very restrictive on development. They have made it very clear that they do not welcome people to move there. It would have to be West Fel or East Fel. St Francisville is awesome but they are the same when it comes to development. They do a good job of keeping it out.
North shore is an easy answer here. No where to go but up. geographically and economically. If there were more jobs in Tammany and Washington it would really keep growing. I’d kill to have a good job over there and not have to commute beyond those two parishes. It’s situated in the best spot. Close to Nola. Kind of close to BR, easy drive to the beaches. It’s heavily forested with tons of water for recreational purposes. IMO that part of LA is a big step ahead of the rest.
